Just Motor and Battery with engine head off EV conversation

Just came across this EV conversion tonight, looks like he just took the head and pistons out and put a motor on top.

The car and EV control might be a bit more basic than what a lot of people are working on here but seems to work for him as an experiment.

He still keeps the engine block with the oil and gear box and so runs the AC without issue.
Needed to add a vaccum pump for the brakes.

I saw this and though a lot of extra weight and unreliability (oil changes, leaks ect) as well as losses just to keep the non electric AC. Just seemed like a bad way to do it to me.

Thats true, he has simplified it as much as you could. Heard him say it was underpowererd as well and max 60mph.
