Re: WIP 1974 Ford Capri + GS450H

There are ESP32 modules with Ethernet which can be used. See this thread. That's only useful if you're using a laptop of course. No good for a phone/tablet.

Re: WIP 1974 Ford Capri + GS450H

Looking great!

Are you going to keep the shifter? Looks like the output flange/guibo is sitting very close the shifter hole. I'm wondering what to do about that myself. Not a lot of room to work with.

Re: [WIP] 1965 Ford Mustang

Thanks for the input, it's a big help :) Yeah, the more I think about it, the more the batteries-over-the-axle option seems like the better one. Like I say, I had sort of discarded the idea early on. They didn't seem to easily fit above the axle and the dimensions of the fuel tank lined up so well. ...

Re: [WIP] 1965 Ford Mustang

Correction, the rear-most point of the car is about 150mm from the edge of the fuel tank area. So, even worse than I thought.

Re: [WIP] 1965 Ford Mustang

Would it be easier to put a cage around the back of the car in the boot or behind the rear bumper to strengthen it rather than compromising the battery position? In the long run its probably just easier to relocate the batteries rather than trying to add strength to rear of the car. They will actua...

Re: [WIP] 1965 Ford Mustang

Wow, my last update was August. Time has really flown by. This project is still very much alive. I've not posted anything because, frankly, I'm still trying to get ahead of the rust. Here's some of the gore for those who enjoy. Cowl tank replacement. IMG_8071.jpeg IMG_8140.jpeg IMG_8810.jpeg IMG_885...

Re: Indicate lack of communication between ESP and STM

I did a little testing and this seems to be working OK. PR submitted for the esp8266 version : https://github.com/jsphuebner/esp8266-w ... ce/pull/24

Will have a look at the esp32 version tomorrow.

Re: Feature and Issue tracking

A little status message at the top about "Wifi/Controller comms established" in green vs. "Wifi cannot find controller" in red would at least save them some troubleshooting time knowing what's broken. This is a great idea. I've logged a github issue for this and will take a look...

Re: Web interface improvements

I had to do some fighting with some crappy Olimex boards  but managed to get there in the end. Changes: * For screens where the width is less than 1000px, the menu bar will automatically shrink down and only show the icons. * The icons get bigger to make them more easy to tap on a small screen...

Re: Web interface improvements

I'd say the thing to do would be to use the "@media" css stuff to show/hide things depending on the width of the screen. On small screens the left hand menu would normally be hidden, but pop out when you hit a 'hamburger' icon in the top left. Could probably do something similar with the r...

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?

I too have been looking into this :) There are a couple of other options, although a little pricey still. But they get around the NDA issue. Rak WisLink LV200V20 based on QCA6410. $29 each RED Beet H based on QCA7005. €29.50 each. Edit: ah, rereading the original post, I see the Red Beet has been me...

Just for clarification, I was hoping you might be able to provide some information on the RPM from the gearbox output at different voltages. Hey, sorry, I missed this somehow. How have you wired up the transceiver to the teensy? How have you wired up the canbus? How are you powering the CSCs? Pos...

Pictures of your setup, some diagrams of your wiring, any messages from the OI interface, a copy of your params.

Re: 1965 Ford Mustang

There are some things to think about in allowing a BMS to control contactors and BMS code in general .... 1. Given that car is a very electrically and efm noisy environment a watchdog in the code is imperative because if the chip locks up you loose BMS, so therefore a watchdog to reboot it in that ...

Re: 1965 Ford Mustang

Another major piece of work has been around the BMS. I have two BMW PHEV packs that I plan to put in the car. They'll be paralleled together. It's been a while since I've posted an update here, so, will post...
