Re: (Wip)Leaf swapped vw golf cabriolet
Does the crade mount to the existing mounting points? No new holes need to be drilled? Do you have more photos? Not visible how it is attached to the front beam? 😊 no new holes :) all stock pickup points. could revert to the orginal car if wanted :) cradle goes from the mounter mount point under th...

That tilt bed sure makes it look easier to work on!
Good to see the boxes just fit. I’ll be replicating the same with my 720.

Re: 1984 Voltswagen Rabbit Prius Gen 3
One question I would have is how much in/out movement would VW shafts typically allow? I believe the cup type has quite a bit allowable travel, but I'm less familiar with how the VW joints deal with in/out travel. I'm sure you know much more about this given your current project. the plunge on the ...

Re: 1984 Voltswagen Rabbit Prius Gen 3
It seems against all odds that this would be within the same range. why? diffs are diffs, they are all about the same size being they are all driving similar sized vehicles. also there is many different length vw axles available. also the steering rack is right on the firewall so no issue there 198...

Re: 1984 Voltswagen Rabbit Prius Gen 3
exactly as aragorn said. your making flanges for the VW joints to bolt to.
notice the 6 bolts on the innner vw cv joint? un bolt them....now you have separated the cv joint from the flange.
now you just need a flange that has the toyota splines that go into the prius transaxle.

i put the drawing together, yes there are to different versions of the shunt. i have a few older shunts, which i drew up the wiring for.
would be good to add these photos of the shunt pinout out to the wiki

Re: [DRIVING] leaf powered 1983 Subaru BRAT (dual outlander WIP)
Some more CHAdeMO updates: FLO dc fast chargers result in an over voltage fault. I’m guessing this is a result of the isolation test? During the charger start up udc voltage rises up to 650v. Shortly after starting the charge, the zombie shut it all down. some of the newer bc hydro station seem to d...

Just finished a 370km drive. Smooth driving. And got CHAdeMO working with zombie. First station (charge hub)charged me for time but provided 0 power. Yes both powered on at the same time. I will have to get hold of an Arduino Due and CAN Shield. I have not really worked with the Arduino products before... zombiverter high speed can3 jumpers
set up chademo in my brat with a zombieverter. some discrepancy around can 3 termination on the zombie, on the back of the zombie it says "solder jumper sj15 and sj10 for can3 termination" but in damiens chademo video he references sj10 and sj5 to solder for termination sj5.jpg damien.jpg ...

Re: ISA Shunt With ZombieVerter VCU [FINISHED]
I have tried both CAN1 and CAN2 with the same results. I have also run the initializing procedure multiple times and I have the 120Ohm termination resistor connected on X2 of the ISA shunt. And the shunt is powered on when you int? Do you have access to an ardunio due? https://openinverter.org/wiki...

another stupid mistake. i loaded 5.32 SIN instead of FOC. loaded up 5.27 FOC. fired it up. click/ pop sound moment i touch the throttle. desat. lots of noise on everything. doing a full shut down and reset it will slightly spin moment i select drive, then desat. plots are with inverter on and no HV....

took a closer look at how the inverter is functioning when in drive. current firmware is 5.32 i'm getting pluses /oscillations in the motor rpm when applying a little bit of throttle (with transmission in neutral) and the same (lurching) when in gear. this happens regardless of throttle over can, or...
