Re: [WIP] Nissan Pathfinder 2009
Just read through it. Awsome build and awsome truck!
I think I will be using the Nissan Leaf stack too.
Have you used it off road at all?
The Leaf stack with the Zombieverter is a good choice! Once you wrap your head around the wiring and software its so much simpler than a ICE engine.
I ...

Re: [WIP] Nissan Pathfinder 2009
Oh wow, have you got your build here on openinverter? Would be good to see it.
Yeah the Brat Industries stuff looks great, I'm in the UK though unfortunately. And I am trying to keep the costs as low as possible.

Re: [Driving] 1996 Nissan D21 Hardbody 4x4 Leaf Swap
I don't have much in the way of updates, but I have been using the truck around town frequently. I seem to have worked out all of the j1772 charging issues.

Re: [WIP] Nissan Pathfinder 2009
This would be an awesome build!!!! I've converted a 96 Nissan D21 Pickup 4x4. Which direction you should go depends on how much fabrication you want to do. The easiest path forward would be to get one of the Brat Industries transmission adapters, a coupler, and a Nissan Leaf motor. I believe Brat ...

Re: [Driving] 1996 Nissan D21 Hardbody 4x4 Leaf Swap
It’ll be tight, I was doing one saddle pack, with a drive shaft tunnel. Which would require the drive shaft removed to drop the pack. the king cab takes up more space unfortunately.
Being 4x4 the frame is quite different and the hardbody is wider. So you might have more depth!
as long as you can ...

Oh that should be fine, I just remember seeing much lower specs, perhaps my memory is not serving me right.

I was thinking about making two packs under the bed or a single battery box similar to your 720. I haven't fully committed to a design yet ...

Yes, they are from Battery Hookup. The site claims 150 amps continuous and 450 amps 10 second pulses. That is about 1C continuous and 3.4C pulse. Will that be ok for general use?

Re: [Driving] 1996 Nissan D21 Hardbody 4x4 Leaf Swap
The OE Nissan has 2.7Kohm between Proximity and group
I replaced the old extended j1772 port with a Phoenix Contact CCS1 port at the gas fuel door. This fixed the charging issue, which seemed to be a bad pp line.

I did extend the charging connection from the PDM to that gas port but didn't permanently mount it yet since I was going to replace it. I just received a new CCS1 port that I'm going to use to add the Foccci in the future.

Do you have anyway to log the CAN bus it seems your PDM does not report the correct charge connector status. The info that is used to go out of charging.

Re: [Driving] 1996 Nissan D21 Hardbody 4x4 Leaf Swap
You should have made that clear. So when driving it slows to near zero the it shakes violently?
Change the "regenramp": 100 this is very high. same goes for your throtramp.
You can also try increasing regenendrpm to 200 or higher.

Re: [FIRST DRIVE] 1996 Nissan D21 Hardbody 4x4 Leaf Swap
I just updated to the zombieverter 2.20, and prior to that I was on 2.17. With v2.20 I seem to have a major issue in which the motor will bounce back and forth somewhat violently as after it spools down. When it gets to about 0 rpm it will bounce between 0rpm and 1rpm until I force it into gear ...

I finally got the Nissan to charge with the Leaf PDM with the help of J0hannes. He kindly provided me with his fork of the ZOmbieverter code for testing. I took the Nissan for a 5 mile trip to the gas station for snacks, and the only issue I noticed is a drive shaft vibration.

It’s a bug in the zombie code

Re: [First Drive] 1996 Nissan D21 Hardbody 4x4 Leaf Swap
The Nissan went for its first drive today. Everything went well except a wheel well liner started dragging. The Nissan Cube steering column works great, and went into failsafe mode just like a Prius column.
