For Sale: Hyundai Ioniq 5 Motor and sub-assembly

This is a motor and sub-assembly from a rear wheel drive Hyundai Ionic 5 with 124 miles on it - like new (no accident). I believe these are 125 kW (168HP) / 350 Nm (258 lb.-ft.) motors from the Hyundai E-GMP platform with integrated gearbox and a 5 link suspension. The distance from wheel mounting s...

Re: Hyundai IoniQ 2020 HV battery pack

This is amazing. I am going to try this on a Ioniq 5 battery at a junk yard to verify it's health before purchasing, but have a couple of questions if you don't mind. 1. I can't tell from the video where you tapped into the CAN lines - can this be done without opening the battery, or do I need to ta...

E-GMP EV components - what's useful?

I am new to these Hyundai/Kia vehicles, but will have the opportunity to pull parts from some Ioniq 5 vehicles before they get scrapped. I have time constraints, so short of pulling everything to make a "ioniq 5 on a bench", what components are the most useful to go after? I'm assuming Cha...

Re: 800V Hyundai Ioniq 5 Battery

I have the opportunity to get some of these packs. Are you saying they are not good for a conversion unless using the full 800V configuration? Or using 32 reconfigured is fine?

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support

Thanks, although If I am reading that thread correctly this essentially says the issues is fixed, correct? My SSID was "zom_vcu" not "inverter" so maybe mine was in some intermediate state then? I am not complaining, and it's not a problem for me, I just want to understand the is...

Anyone?
cgalpin wrote: Tue Dec 07, 2021 11:20 pm I just wanted to note that once connected to the wifi, no IP address was assigned. Is this expected? I manually assigned an IP, and I am able to reach the web interface. If this is expected, I'll update the wiki accordingly.

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support

I have been adding notes for the videos on the wiki to make it easier to find info like this, and jump to the relevant parts of Damien's videos to re-listen for that section. Please give this a try and let me know if it helps. https://openinverter.org/wiki/ZombieVerter_VCU At least for your first qu...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support

First, thanks to Damien, Johu, and anyone else who has contributed to this effort. I got my board and some help soldering on the final components, and it appears to have passed a basic power test! I just wanted to note that once connected to the wifi, no IP address was assigned. Is this expected? I ...

Re: ZombieVerter VCU Support

Great explanation Collin, I am going to be getting help with my soldering for sure. But do tell us how you REALLY feel :) 2. You want quality solder. I know you're in the EU but if you can use leaded solder, DO IT. Non-leaded solder is the DEVIL. SATAN in metal form. It flows like crap, it makes tin...
