This fully populated SMT board connects to the Gen2 inverter via its original 32-pin control connector to allow
you to take over control over the MG2 inverter. It is inspected before
shipping and programmed with the latest software at the time of order.
The board has various analog and digital inputs but can also be fully controlled via CAN. It comes with the stm32-sine software appropriate for asynchronous motors (ACIM) but can be easily programmed with the stm32-foc firmware to control synchronous motors. Resolver excitation is on board. The hardware is also prepared to run the integrated buck converter as a battery charger though that feature still needs testing.
The kit includes a waterproof automotive grade Cinch enclosure with matching Molex connectors as well as the 32-pin inverter connector. It also includes an Olimex ESP8266 Wifi module. It requires soldering the through hole connectors and crimping the connectors with some cable of your own. You will need to modify the 2-pin power connector inside the inverter to be able to power the gate drive logic. The sources for its mating connector are a bit sketchy.
