Tesla Battery Boxes

I'm designing my battery boxes, and I have seen the Tesla model s cells laid both horizontally as they come in the Tesla, and I have seen them standing on end.
Does anyone have any real world experience with standing them on end, and if there is any impact at all from a cooling perspective, or packaging for that matter. I'm thinking of standing them on end for my application, but don't want to make a bad mistake based only off some photos I may have seen on Instagram.

Jack at EVTV has stood Tesla Model S/X packs against the wall and not reported any issues

Jack at EVTV has also charged a Renault/Nissan Fluenze pack without a BMS and burned down a warehouse
As long as the modules are mechanically sound there should be no issue.
With the old CALB and Thundersky LiFe cells you weren't supposed to orient the batteries sideways, but the 18650s should be totally fine.
I think those pictures are from someone's BMW conversion - maybe it was a 70's 3-series?

Isaac....that was hilarious.
I'm pretty sure it will be alright, and until the shop actually gets the engine bay cleared out, this is all theoretical, but I don't want to come at this without exploring all options.
16 Tesla cells is a bit of a challenge to keep as low and centered as possible. But figuring out the puzzle is the fun part I guess.

As a related question, has anyone put the Volt/Ampere batteries in an unusual orientation? I don't think I will need to but I had at least thought about mounting some upside down.

I seem to recall someone with a 911 build mounting some upside down. They got the car running but I cant recall whatever happened long term. It was on diyelectric and I dont get over there often.

Thanks Jon. Based on some measuring I did this weekend it's looking like I'll be able to keep them right side up, but I won't know for sure until I have them in the garage, and I get the roll cage into the car. Too much stuff needs to be in the same place.
