is there a way to implement the volvo eps in the vcu ??
or is it already being worked on

https://github.com/NMSTEC/Volvo_EPS_FREE

I thought that it could be implemented speed-dependently, instead of the potentiometer, with a fine adjustment in the VCU

And there's a (beginning of a) Wiki article: https://openinverter.org/wiki/Volvo_Power_Steering_Pump
If you find some information to contribute, please add them to the wiki as well.

Unfortunately I can't program, otherwise I would have implemented it in the zombieverter so that you have an option to select whether a Volvo EPS is installed, if so, then you should be able to select whether it is speed-dependent or whether you can set the speed manually, CAN messages are now known and there are also good examples

for example, speed-dependent, 100% - 10% = 0 km/h - 50 km/h

very nicely illustrated as can be seen here

I've recently obtained a pump from a Volvo S40 and was able to find the OEM connectors (from Yasaki). Have added the OEM part numbers and a labelled connector photo to the wiki page.

If this were implemented in the VCU, that would be perfect

It has been a year since the last post, but just like to see how I can contribute to the connector part. I have two pumps (one with remote reservoir, the other with integral reservoir) and also a Vauxhall pump. I bought the vauxhall one for the reservoir. Mechanically it is (or seems to be) the same pump, but the reservoir is much lower profile to clear the bonnet in my application.

Anyway. The two pumps have different power connectors. One of them seems to be the Yazaki as shown on the wiki. I have ordered the terminals, so let's see (quite a long lead time on those). As both control connectors are the same I also ordered the terminals for them with part number from the wiki. Quite obviously though, for both my pumps these connectors are different. Still seem Yazaki ones though, so I'll search for the correct numbers and post them here.

I bought this controller for my Volvo pump. So far (about 18 months in) it has worked well in a very harsh environment.

Tbh the use of a GPS to control the speed is quite elegant. It allows the controller to be completely standalone. I could pop the connector off and take a photo for you if you'd like? I'm not sure how the control is actually implemented - if it's using PWM or variable voltage or something else.

These pumps are CAN controlled. I found the control connector used on both pumps and am pretty sure I have found the correct terminals for it. Information has been added to the wiki. Once I receive my ordered terminals I will check and update if needed.
