Hello,
I am now looking at my components and thinking about wiring them up. For bench testing, I can just use lugs.
For an actual vehicle install, I’d like to standardise all the connectors so to make maintenance easier.
Does anyone have recommendations for both HV connectors and CAN connectors?
What does everyone else do? Or is it just a question of ‘bolt/solder them together and put them in a tough junction box’?

For big stuff I still use bolts and lugs.
For small stuff, Deutsch connectors are fantastic, but expensive (for tools as well). WeatherPak is also good and probably more common. Still expensive.
I often use Molex connectors used in a desktop computers. MiniFit Jr, etc. Cheap and good enough. If they're outside the car, I usually spray them full of FluidFilm/CorrosionX or shrink wrap them where the wires enter.
They're rare, though...Most of my actual connections are using standard automotive relays, cheap fuse box, and screw terminals on an ABS board of some kind. I put something cleaner in the car, but this prototype used the same components:

In the car I only use deutsch connectors, 4 pin dtm for can as it's a pretty common thing across aftermarket ecu installations, then dt connectors for everything else
