I now have the bottom half of a Yaris inverter with the top half of the Prius. The lid, logic board mounting plate, current sensors, main cap just fit right on. So with swapping the logic board bracket the larger Prius board has fit straight in.

It's when the inverter comes to life under a full moon you are going to need to worry ðŸĪŠ

I have a trouble with spontaneously stack a logic board during driving. If I run a Plot it occure wery quick.
I think it some connect with STM core load if load more, it will occure quickly.

Is anybody faced with this bug?

Difficult is - board inside an inverter on a car. How it examine and fix? Change a board?

My Tigra is driving, but the problem can occure on 100km/h on a motorway. It`s damn :x

Having trouble understanding what problem you are having? Do you have the plots that may help with understanding what the issue is?

We may be looking into another LDO issue. Wifi module soaks up 3V3 power giving garbage ADC readings that somehow lead to tripping out.

If that's the issue, I've updated the wiki with Damiens suggested fix. A capacitor needs replacing.

Else one more issue which I observe : During I using Cruise Control when I press brake pedal (connect only MG2_BRAKE_ON signal without brake pot) inverter hit a huge regen.

I try to suit thinking hat and see :
ESP8266 consume 215mA in transmit mode, but LDO (XC6206P332) provide only 200mA :geek:
Where is power for STM32 ?? Asking I ?? (Where is money lebowski ?(C))
May be we must place one more LDO for STM32 separately??

I didn't do the cap change yet. I had a little dc dc board laying around so used that from 5v.

I have this problem with two Olimex boards on my dual inverter, each using its own ESP8266 wifi module. It needed a lot of decoupling even with 500mW LDOs each. I am not sure what happens, but i suspect reference plain rises because of noise and one Olimex drops OC error when i press throttle or just start DC switch.
Interesting enough i didnt observe the sam with Wemos D1 mini board. Here i have stable wifi.

OK. I placed one more LDO separately for ESP8266. First pin to the ESP8266 I cuted .
It`s working!!
I`ve not faced with brain board shuts down.

I think it must be in Wiki .

I assumed that the fwkp parameter was responsible for weakening the field. But its configuration does not give obvious changes in a maximum speed. With a default value of -100, the car goes kind of softer, but when starting, with kick-down throttle, it is shuting down by error OVERCURRENT, but there is no difference in speed or current consumption.
In general, there are many parameters, but their configuration is not obvious, for example, turning off regen altogether - I set all the parameters to zero, but it is still present... and when using cruise control with easy pressing on the brake - according to the brake sensor, it should simply turn off, but this happens with a jerk of regeneration...

Yes field weakening is not fully sorted. As for cruise control a very low value (like 0.1) for regenramp should help.
With brknompedal and brkmax set to 0 there will be no regen. Unless it is unintended like at very high rpm

I added the following text to the wiki:
Be super careful never to program the Atmega while high voltage is applied and caps are not discharged. When cycling through the boot loader, it seems to do something strange that will blow up the otherwise bullet proof buck/boost converter! Also be aware that Arduino also cycles through the boot loader when closing the serial terminal!
I blew up another inverter today

Whoops.

Any idea exactly what's happening? Makes me wonder if this could somehow happen by some other casual or random method, as programming the arduino shouldn't be *that* special of an occurence.

Due to an "upgrade" on Olimex wifi modules I can no longer supply them as open networks. By default all charger kits will have SSID : inverter PASSWORD : inverter123

If someone could please update the wiki with this would be much appreciated.

I still can`t full disable regen. It work strange - with speed up to 50 km/h (3000 rpm) regen is not exists, but if speed more then 50 km/h inverter make regen due throttle is move up. And same occure due cruise. If speed more then 50 km/h carefull tap on brake pedal occure kick huge regen.

Question is:

- Because my Outlander MGR mounted in FWD it run reversed and I need swith selector to reverse for drive to forward . May be it somehow impact on inverter logic and don`t able me configure it properly? May be I need try configure syncofset opposite ? And MGR will spin in right direction.

TMPHSMAX
Hi All. I've been trying to get my inverter to do something other then have some LEDs blink. My motor would sometimes jog or engage for a split second in MANUAL MODE. With nothing hooked up other than 12v and GND I get fault TMPHSMAX. Looking at spot values TMPHS it is reading 85.43 degrees C.During normal startup the precharge contactor would energise but the MAIN CONTACTOR would not with the start button. I measured the resistance of the coolant sensor and it does change from 2.86k and drops when briefly applying heat. My motor sensor is currently not connected Looking at the schematics I found on the WIKI, R22 is supposed to a 10K resistor. Is this correct? On my board the component is stamped with "2200" and with my meter is measuring 165.8 ohms.
Thanks in advance for your help.
John
