BMW i3 drop in boards

Post by johu »

To be honest the BMW i3 boards became a shelve warmer after an initial surge of orders.

So I have significantly lowered the price. The sooner you buy, the more components you get. I will include the resolver cards from CJW: viewtopic.php?p=63903#p63903

I have 5 more ampseal connectors, when those are gone I won't order new ones.

Johu, I have looked, but am unable to find an answer. Could I somehow use this board to control an i3 generator motor to use it as a range extender?

I see two possibilities -

1. This board is compatible with the generator inverter, so just use that
Or
2. This board is only compatible with the traction motor inverter, but possibly the traction motor inverter can be used to run the generator motor and it supports regen.

Woodfie is trying to get the i3 Rex running here viewtopic.php?t=3749 but he is using a leaf inverter and having a bit of trouble. It would be pretty cool if we could swap the leaf inverter for a BMW one because you can then get all parts from the same donor.
