Hi,
Looks like some impressive work is going on in this forum. I own a 2014 I3 and recently it would not start anymore. Turns out the fuse in the safetybox was blown and some arcing damage in the EME was found. Still have no idea what the actual origin of the problem is since the car was not charging at the time, just sat outside for the night and next mornign would not startup... The quotes for the repair from BMW are same level as buying another secondhand i3 with parts expected to arrive in about 6months here in New Zealand .... Shipping the EME to Europe for testing and repair is also pretty expensive.
So question does anybody have a spare DC-DC board for sale or does anyone have experience repairing one?
Part number 1611655 LE125_DCDC Rev05.1
Thanks,
Ido
