Hello all, good day.
I want make acoustem driver for my ac serbo motor with ABI encorder (2500ppr) it is posible using open inventer ??
With step/dir interface.
Is the open inventer suport for step/dir interface???

Can you elaborate on what is a step/dir interface?
In general with 2500 ppr you need slight modification of the encoder input low pass

It's stepper motor lingo. Steps are the number of pulses to complete 1 full revolution and is also the rotational positioning. Dir is direction.
It's usually 1 input for steps (pulses) that gets counted / tracked and converted to a very accurate motor position / speed.
Another input for direction. High is one direction, low is the other.
Could maybe be useful for crawling off road or other slippery conditions with individual motors on each wheel. And maybe torque vectoring but that's likely way too high of resolution for what's commonly used for stepper motors, especially with the common 8-9:1 gear reduction.

Ok, I see.
That is half supported then with encmode=Single. The dir input could be the B-channel input but then additional code must be written to handle it. Depends on the application whether it's needed

Servo drives are normally used to precisely control movements. I have these in my milling machine. It behaves more like a stepper motor. Technically it is a three-phase motor with an attached, usually high-resolution encoder (2000 to 20,000). The inverter keeps the exact position or movement. The direction of the rotating field can change depending on requirements.
