2 months ago I hooked up the inverter to the motor in the car, only to find the motor didn't turn.
I checked the motor for shorts, continuity and that it turned by hand - all ok. I then tested the inverter boards....
Gate inputs showed 50/50 waves but they have slopes on crests. Gate outputs 50/50 square waves and I also seem to have sq waves on phase outputs - no sine waves. Any ideas please? I'm struggling to know what to look for now.
(the fact that I haven't used a scope for 45 years may be a factor
).I also tried Peter's idea from a previous years post - to connect bulbs across phase outputs. I used 21w bulbs (maybe too large?) and only got a glow at 24v, on each - no pulsing.
