BMW i3 Electric Motor and Range Extender

Post by damian »

Hello there,
I need some help, I'm trying to figure out which parts I need to make a fully running car.

1. The BMW i3 Electric Motor
2. Can I use the open inverter or do I need one from BMW i3?
3. Batteries
4. BMS (Battery Management System)
5. Range Extender from BMW i3 (yes I want one)
6. The charging connector to charge the car.

Is there something missing?

The BMW i3 CAN or Flexray protocol has no yet been figured out so you'd need the i3 opeinverter board. It doesn't make use of the charger and DC/DC converter that is integrated with the inverter though because those also haven't been reverse engineered.
