It is very likely that you are hitting a discharge power limit.
no batt volts doesn't drop much and I've set any batt min limits 50v below that

Thanks Jamie, Andy please keep to a conservatie throttle max for now, we want to see if the IDC levels off as quick now. Should theoretically not be the case so the torque will carry on for longer.

After these 2 runs I floored it and span the wheels half way up the road, my neighbours are so pissed :o most of the juddering has gone I feel a lot of what's left may be the backlash in my diff I'm not sure it will last much longer with that torque

Now thats more then double the current draw, and no flat point insight on the current draw. Better get the car ready for some higher speed acceleration tests. :)

In all seriousness I really need to change the diff before it disintegrates, it sounds bad :(

Be great if you could get the car sorted now you know she is dangerous. Then you can do on the move acceleration tests as those are more interesting from a performance point of view.

That would be foolish as I'd have to get it home from wherever it decided to die I'll leave that sort of thing to someone silly enough to get trapped under his own bonnet ;) do you know anyone like that ?

The internet says that the diff is the same as in the E36 compact, which should be available (somewhat) plentiful. At least compared to Z3 differentials.

The compact had 3.07 and 3.23 in the 323ti and 323tiA (which stands for Automatic I guess?): http://www.e36racing.de/differenzial.php

Many thanks Guys for all this info. Is so good to see this active experiment in action. These Transmission seem to have lots of potential, on paper before, but this is realizm. Well done..
Am still seeking a 300H inverter, as my attempts with the Prius zvw30 inverter could be needing this solution..
