Alternatives to FAN3122TMX

Post by m.art.y »

Hi,

Anybody could tell what would be an alternative to a FAN3122TMX chip? Those are looking hard to get in smaller quantities.

There is another chip from the same family FAN3122TMX-F085, what are the differences between the two and could this be used instead? Perhaps somebody could help?

The info is in the data sheet but the -F085 is qualified to AEC-Q100 which is an automotive standard so should be suitable if you can find them. The only parts available from LSCS Electronics is the FAN3122TM1X-F085 which has the exposed pad on the bottom. This might work with some added insulation, e.g. mylar tape, under the pad.

Alright so FAN3122TMX and the FAN3122TMX-F085 are basically the same?

Electrically they are the same part it is just qualification and maybe some testing that is different.
