I am looking to collaborate with an engineer / hobbyist who is interested in creating a stand-alone BMS (and compatible inverter) to work with second-hand car batteries to facilitate the storage of excess solar (and then to release later to the building).
Thanks in advance.

You can check this BMS project out: viewtopic.php?t=2338
It's probably not wise to reinvent the wheel for the inverter. The BMS can be adapted to many different commercial inverters I guess.
(By the way: This section of the forum is for car conversion projects. There is a separate section for Renewables. Maybe a moderator can move the thread )
