Suggestions please for chrger to suit Zombieverter/GS450h combo

Post by acollins22 »

Hi Folks,

I am converting my Scimitar to an EV and going the route of Lexus GS450H transmission and Zombieverter (both bits bought and waiting on shelves).

I am now looking for a charger to fit in nicely with those bits (controlled by the Zombie, suitable voltage etc.).

I am thinking 7kw+ but don't really know what cars have what.

What do you all think would be a good choice?

Thanks,

Andy.

To answer my own post, I've gone with the Audi E-tron charger.

Let's see how I get on.

Cheers,

Andy.

I’m asking myself the same question but haven’t decided yet. I’d be interested to hear how you get on.

Why did you go with the Audi?

Hi Jacobsmess,

I went with the Audi for a few reasons... Other people are working on talking to it with Zombieverter. Also, the power output is reasonable and so is the cost.

Cheers,

Andy.

Hi Andy, do you know what the maximum output voltage is on this Audi charger?

Hi DkubusEV,

To be honest I don't. I have a pack from an E-Golf and I'm hoping Damien of evbmw gets his VAG charger working before I need mine! ;-)

Cheers,

Andy.
