So the idea of driving a car with gears but no clutch would blow her mind.
I managed to teach my daughter to shift Mazda clutchless :). But i had to add a button for BMS pin and when pressed it will reduce regen torque so she can shift into spinning motor.
Of course she hates it!!! Pug is so much smoother with its single speed gearbox...
I may end up installing outlander motor in Mazda.

so I finally got my amp reading working so now I can see how much current it pulls and calculate watts aka power, pretty cool

I did a first pull on it and it got up to 311 amps so assuming something like 370 volts that's 115 kW or 154 hp

this is just a random pic of what I am looking at, at a glance on my little handy 2.4" Nextion display

I thought petrol (Gas) was a lot cheaper in the US but the difference not as big as I expected.
We pay around £1.50 per litre which is £5.68 for a US gallon (A US gallon is smaller than a UK Imperial gallon) or $7.04
I need a bigger hammer!

It is cheaper. In Georgia is $3.60. Is expensive only in Democrat states. Republican states have a lot less taxes. Even in Europe at least 60% of the gas price is tax.
For example my sister lives in Sacramento CA. The house tax is about $7000/ year. My house payment + taxes + house insurance is $7200/year. So where you live in USA makes a difference.

have some Charge Time numbers to share, for those of you Table Data Averse (TDAs), it took 5 hours to charge from 50% State of Charge to 90%.

this is a first crude attempt at getting some idea of how long my pack takes to charge, which I honestly don't care if it takes, 3 hours, 6 hours, or 9 hours, as I just plug it in before going to bed and by morning she is fully charged!

TIME VOLTS DURATION SOC COMMENT
269.0 0 Minimum Voltage per specs
300.0 My practical floor
?
9:19 PM 346.5 50% per SimpBMS guestimate
10:19 PM 1 hour things to watch while it's charging
11:19 PM 2 hours
12:19 PM 3 hours Tom is at it again vid
1:19 AM 4 hours
2:19 AM 393.5 5 hours 90% No BMS so only going to 90%
?
398.0 100% Maximum Voltage per specs

You need to input voltage and SOC points for it to guess. :) you just left the standard numbers did you not?

Let me look for a cell voltage curve.

thank you so much Tom, I appreciate it, yes I just downloaded the Tom-evnut/BMWPhevBMS from your GitHUB and ran it on a Teensy with a CAN bus transceiver, these are the old pics when I first did it a year ago or so, I honestly must have assumed the defaults were set for this pack, don't ask me why

awesome to hear Andy, can you sprinkle in some more details, from what volts to what volts was that charge?

Knew I seen this somewhere.
Thank you so much Tom, the screen below is what I was going off of, and I thought if the BMS is smart enuff to detect the six cell modules and enumerate all 96 cells than surely it must know the SOC

I further insult your intelligence in an excruciating detail write up here: I bought a BMW 530e hybrid battery pack - Now What?

yeah I used the Polish Catholic guilt on him to it's fullest potential to get his butt out here from the East Coast to help his countryman out before I made a complete fool out of myself, I mean I am the last one to instigate things, but show me a more better EV Conversion Duo, we have Germany represented here on this forum, Ireland, England, the Colonies (lol), France, Canada even, lol
