Does somebody have acces to the actual plug?
Can you share some pictures and dimensions?

What i need is a small sketch of the debt/height of the part that tries to enter the old Filler spot but on sport cars its not allot of room there...

p.s. I bought the socket from an ID3 including the wiring etc

This is a Duosida plug - it's possible that others (e.g. liquid cooled) might be bigger

If one were to 3D print that plug (like other folks have done w/ Chademo:

where would one be able to source the internal metallic lugs and how are they welded (pressed) to which AWG cables?

Yeah, I've seen some models already, i.e: https://grabcad.com/library/tag/ccs

What I'm interested is about the female metal lugs on the CCS2 gun: are they commercially available at all (i.e as spares?). I believe those lugs are called "contact tubes" according to IEC 62196.

I'd really like to avoid grinding copper rods and doing nyckel electrolysis to avoid corrosion and whatnot, seems quite labor intensive:

Some commercial cables do have replaceable contacts. They're not exactly hobbyist level prices, however.

Duosida plugs are relatively inexpensive on Aliexpress. I would suggest getting something with a cable though.
