Nissan Leaf Gen1 Disable Switch with internal Fuse

Post by Zapatero »

I was curious where my Fuse is and how it is really rated. I pull up to 400 amps peak for a short time span and the 225A Fuse of the stock leaf seems to be fine with it.

So for anyone interested and to gather information that could be helpful to someone i add this threat to the forum:

Found the datasheet for the fuse. Unsurprising that the fuse held at 400A, based on the time-current graph in the datasheet. You should be able to pull 450A for at least 5 seconds before it blows, and it looks like an average of 90 seconds at 400A. Good news is that there's a 300A version if you need just a little more kick.
