Ovar Technologies 6.6kW OBC and 12 DC-DC Converter all in one

Post by Domt177 »

http://www.ovartech.com/?product=6-6kw- ... uid-cooled

Found this on diyelectriccars and looks pretty enticing, anyone heard of them before or have any experience buying from them?

Apparently its what StealthEV buys and resells as their 2-in-1

Doesn't look like you can simply order on, you have to contact them to buy

If you contact them, be warned, Frank will email you daily thereafter looking for an order.

around about £1000 I believe, haven't contacted them yet though. Seems pretty good as its about the same as a Tesla Gen2 + Controller + normal 12v DC-DC

We've purchased several Tesla Model 3/Y PCS for ~150 euro :)

Over the last decade we've seen dozens of EV components suppliers drop products or go out of business. Today we always recommend buying a solution from a major OEM where possible 8-)
In Ireland we undertake training & open source RND for the New Electric group, 5 companies converting boats, buses, cars and trucks to electric drive since 2008.

Agreed. Personally I wouldn't use stuff like that if I got it for free. Just no need these days.

Forgot about the model 3 PCS, definitely worth it over the Ovar Technologies one
