By lock is it meant the Type2 socket lock on the top as in the photo? If so it is rather high profile has anybody seen any smaller versions of the lock? 😊
AFAIU can be mounted also laterally. BTW I do not have direct experience.

Very easy to get working, all is on the wiki https://openinverter.org/wiki/BMW_I3_Fa ... LIM_Module

there are lower profile locks, like https://zero-ev.co.uk/shop/lockpincp-lo ... desc#attr=

Or go to a breaker of an ID3 / ID4 that's what i did.
It has the lock lateral...

For reference, this is what my BMW i3 inlet looks like:

I picked this up from a breaker in Latvia (I think) a few months ago for well under USD$100 including shipping, with about 4' of harness.

It's a Type 1, though. That matches my locale.

Hello everyone, help to solve the problem. I have a lim 2014 USA.(...646) The welding test passes normally. I see. 272,false,Rx,0,8,33,F3,01,11,FF,FF,FF,FF, Then I connect the connector of the charging station, the LED starts to glow yellow. 3B4,false,Rx,0,8,00,FF,31,F0,BC,FF,00,00. Everything seems to be going well. But only I start seeing this message: 3E9,false,Rx,0,8,08,52,11,00,00,00,00,00Everything stops and the LED starts flashing red. At first I thought I had a port blocking problem. I even wired a separate switch to manually enable the lock. Still nothing happens.

Did you notice that the proxy has to be connected to pins 2 and 6 on USA models? BTW, US and EU LIMs are the same and can be recoded.

A question to every one who has a working vehicle with the LIM working, I have yet to get my first project running myself.

What outputs does the LIM generate upon Plug Insertion to allow the rest of the vehicle to wake up? I have yet to figure out if the LIM signals can be used to wake up the various required other items in a vehicle to allow starting charge from a "Ignition Off" situation.

I paid attention to it. I bought the lim together with wires and a conectors. Do I need to put an additional jumper between 2 and 6? Because now there is no connection.

As I said, on EU models, pin 6 remains open and proxi is connected to pin 2, on US models proxi is connected to both, pin 2 "and" 6.

If your LIM was sourced from a US-coded vechicle, very probably you will need to jumper 2B-2 to 2B-6.

Hello. Is there an error in the voltage meter circuit? By connecting the polarity of the power supply TLV 6001 ?

Please do this if you need help, you are saying you get to a certain point in the sequence so there will be clues.

There are different types of TLV6001. With the "R" version, pin 5 = V-, pin 2 = V+. Without "R" it's the other way around. With the "U" version, the inputs and outputs are different.

For now, I took a break, remaking my Arduino controller. At stm 32. When I'm ready, I'll definitely show my capture . I'm learning now cubeIDE .

is it possible to install id instead of rid? By changing the polarity of the power supply?

Bit of a generic overall question regarding Voltage and Current deviation.
With CHAdeMO it is up to the car (controller) to measure and manage this.
In the LIM .dbc I found DCFC_V_Diff and DCFC_I_Diff
So my question is, is Voltage and Current deviation management also needed for CCS?
And if yes? Should the LIM do that? And if yes, how?

I'm very sorry I'm advance as I'm sure this has been asked. But although i searched and red the wiki page i couldn't find the answer:

If I use an onboard AC charger that wants the CP and PP contacts, too, can i just connect them parallel to the LIM?

One this is clarified I'd like to add this information to the wiki page.

Thanks so much

It's already in there
It is not possible to have two car-side charge controllers connected to the pilot line simultaneously. It is recommended to control the charger by CAN bus. If your charger needs the pilot signal, you will have to emulate it or switch the pilot connection wiring over to the active charger during AC charging.
Under AC charging (on board charger control)

If I decide to switch CC and CP signal with a relay, what would be the indicator for the relay to know if it's open or closed. Which signal can i use to recognize if a Type2 or CCS plug is plugged in?

Perhaps there are other ways too, but I'd look at CAN message 0x3B4 from the LIM and within that at the Pilot_Status.
As soon as that becomes 0x01 AC not Ready or 0x02 AC Ready you know the LIM has detected a PWM signal at the CP line that corresponds with AC charging.
