I've added an article to the wiki with some code that pulls data out of an IVT-S over CAN bus using an Arduino Uno.
Fabulous, thanks for sharing

Here is a quick video on wiring the IVT-S shunt.
Part II will look at configuring the shunt using the Nissan Leaf VCU board.

This is great video, very informative and nicely done!
I already have it working with GS450h VCU but cannot wait to watch "Part II"
Well done!

Here’s part 2 of the IVT-S configuration. My screen capture software didn’t like my video editing software so most of it is still frames.
Let me know if this has been useful and if you would like to see more tutorial videos.

I've only watched part of the last video, but knowing how much video editing effort alone...Bravo! Seems quite clear and easy to follow.
Thanks! I'll be referring back to this in a few weeks, I'm sure.
No kidding about those crimp connectors. My trick is to hold the terminal and switch the ratchet around to use the wider side to get a good crimp on just the outermost part that bites into the insulation. That way you can get the exact length of exposed wire you need and complete the innermost crimp at your leisure. (Honestly though I only recently noticed the crimp dies are uni-directional and have a wider crimp head for the outermost part)

I just noticed that the ISA library on EV-TV contains an error. ISA.cpp specifies #include <ISA2.h>, but the file is actually named ISA.h: http://media3.ev-tv.me/ISA.zip
The library from the EV-TV ISA.zip doesn't compile. The one from this site does.
There are multiple differences between the two libraries (although they look similar at first glance) - including the line in ISA.cpp that references either ISA2.h (EV-TV) or ISA.h (here)

Does anyone have a US source for the connectors for the shunt? Digikey and Mouser report 8-12 week lead times for those 4 pin connectors. I can get everything else immediately for like $6

I used tme.eu from Poland. They have them in stock but not sure they ship to states.

Probably quite a markup, but worth not waiting 2-3 months assuming there’s stock.
If you dont use octopart to search components, I suggest starting!

I totally forgot about Octopart. Attempting to cancel that order

I just bought from RS Components (in the UK) and DigiKey - I think I got 5 sets for the price of 1 from that other place. Hopefully I was in time to cancel the order.

Edit: Yay, order cancelled.

Oops, forgot this was the original spot I mentioned this.
Two things:
1. The 4 pin connector is _tiny_ and my 18 gauge wires are TOO BIG. so there's an issue when trying to use the retainer clip. I got it stuck for a few minutes connected to the shunt! It's fine without the retainer at least for the moment.
2. I totally missed the alternate part numbers list on the Wiki. So if you want everything from mouser, today, you can do that.
With that said, $8 + shipping (so like $12?) for US people I thought was reasonable. I'll know more concretely after running to the post office. I'll send a set out to Jon and follow-up with actual prices.

Does anyone have any of these shunts available for sale? I am gathering parts for the Leaf VCU I just received =]

I might get my paws on a couple soon. Otherwise the manufacturer is selling them in multiples of 12. If we get enough takers I can put in another order. They are 165 EUR each including worldwide shipping (for multiples I can combine and get the shipping a bit cheaper).
