Very nice addition, thanks! UDC is it PWM or an analog signal? Which pull-up resistance?

Analog signal, I used a 10K pullup and that seems to be working. Got the offset and gain dialed in the software so it's pretty close to the measured values at 0V and 315V which is what my pack is sitting at right now. For reference, I measured 0.4V at 0 and just over 3V at full potential with the OEM controller on this pin.
I still need to hook up my variable power supply so I can verify it at a few different voltage levels.
I'm better at software than hardware, so there may be a better approach but it's working to close the precharge / main contactors as needed.
For the desat, any suggestions on how to safely trigger an error condition so I can confirm the behavior?

Very nice.
For testing desat on the Gen2 I simply shorted out the opto coupler diode on the HV side. They are normally on and switch off in error condition

super!
I just lacked a way to find a desat for a module from nissan note e-power

Hi I am a Newbie to this forum, however, I have been involved with a few EV builds over here in Perth Australia. I recently bought a Leaf gen 1 motor, inverter and what I think is the leaf VCU? is my best option to have this gen 1 board made from the available files, then run a VCU control board as read in other forum posts. Or has someone used the original VCU and sent required can signals to it? is it possible to buy a pre-made board and components for running a gen 1 leaf motor?

Spent some time working with this board recently and wanted to add a few things:
CN3-12 is indeed the UDC signal. It needs to be pulled up to 5V.
could you show in the photo or schematically a picture which pin from the native driver board is the UDC ?

hi. there are no ready-made TRANSITION boards, only if someone did it for himself and has an extra one. the v3 brain itself will be perfectly able to control this and will give you almost twice as much power as the factory control! or you can look in the direction of the zombiverter and control the factory brain by kan, but the power will also only be factory

Also check out ZombieVerter which runs any Leaf board via CAN

good afternoon, as I understand it, everything worked out with leaf 1st. The question is, what parameters to configure for recovery or how to disable it altogether. The situation is as follows: EM61 motor, 1st Leaf inverter, openinverter board, 86.5 volt battery voltage at full charge, lifepo4 300ah battery. with a sudden set of speed and a sudden release of gas , there is a huge reverse current of 350 amperes , the voltage that is trying to get back into the battery of more than 150v has already killed one inverter and a bunch of DC/dc converters for charging a 12V battery. What should I do to prevent this from happening? Thank you in advance

Can you explain your setup better? This post is very confusing so it is hard to advise.

battery on universal BMS

When starting abruptly in first gear , everything is OK , but as soon as you drop the gas , then recovery does not occur (current at a sudden discharge of 340-350 amperes ) at 3rd and 4th speed , this does not happen

OK, so you have a hybrid car with an ICE engine right? Wrong? This is extremely confusing if you don't explain what you're doing.
I'm no expert but I know the Leaf inverter needs a minimum of around 200V battery to work so I can't see how it will be happy with just 86V. It is designed for 96S Li-Ion
Are you using a Zombieverter board because this thread is around 6 years old for a now defunct board.
Maybe if you explained properly what you are doing in the correct thread someone with more experience might chip in.

No, I'm using a Nissan leaf engine and a Nissan leaf inverter on the openinverter board that was discussed in this thread, and since no one has posted the parameters for this combination on the wiki, I have to ask a question somewhere. The em61 open converter motor works pretty well at 40 volts, but I already have a 300 Ah 86 volt battery, but when I release the throttle, the recovery I don't need happens even if I double the power and use only one throttle channel. So, with a sharp set of speed and full pressure on the pedal, this thing accelerates, but when I release the pedal and drive by inertia, a current of 250-350 amperes and about 150-300 volts of voltage begins to flow into the battery for a short time, judging by the spikes. I understand that this is the EMF of the motor and it needs to be put somewhere, but are there any options for using batteries of not so high voltage? That's why I'm asking.

the problem is with your syncofs. it should be 0 for the nissan leaf motor.

even if you are using the wrong order of connecting the phases and PWM channels of the drivers, then you need to go all the way through configuring the correct syncofs.
but I repeat, the correct value for your motor is 0 with an O.I. v3 board.

I'm not sure this is true for the gen1 (em61) but for the gen2 (em57) the syncofs is printed on each motor housing, and hard coded to the stock firmware. Mine is around 57000 or so from memory. There was a formula on the forum for working out the offset required but otherwise there's a good FOC tuning tutorial by Damien and Johu on YouTube for dialing it in.
I think Johus Syncofs was around 1000 from memory but these are all em57.

Romale, thank you, I've been waiting for your answer, since, as far as I understand, you use this installation. So, the first thing I need to do is adjust the offset, and then see if anything changes or not.
