Hello All ive got a few different places ive been posting about this project, but havn't required much technical assistance yet. As it seems i need it now so here i am.
Up to speed
Using the charger DCDC and inverter all from 2015 Leaf, j1772 type 2, no fast charging.
custom battery pack, 96s 1p kona Cells,
gigavac contractors as the leaf block died in literal seconds.
Zombie on firmware 2.20a
status.
working
battery has 330v enough for me to do a test ride, motor, throttle work no problems i had it set in default forward. turn the key and go.
not working... yet
charging doesn't work
I went through the cc cp lines, all looks correct, when i have HV and ign on, the charger closes it relay and hows a charge session starting, but no current flows.
i wasn't sure what this meant, i had previously swapped the cc cp connections and the charger never closed its relay.
to be clear the cc and cp pins are only going from the charge port to the pdm, i verified the charge port (type 1 has 2.7k from chassis to pp)
the spot values show 230v when the cable is plugged in and relays closed.
the charger does nothing when ign is off.
i have a Pcan and savvycan and can log whatever might be needed.
attached are a few logs of different scenarios
constant 12v bat going from completely disconnected too connecting, waiting 10s then connecting charger.
having constant 12v for a minute then plugging in charger
turning on HV then plugging in the charger.
i also attached the current params.json from the zombie.

What do your spot values on zombie show you for the plugdet ect?
So quick look at your log you get the same as here viewtopic.php?p=79812#p79812
The 0x84 for plug detection instead of 0x88.
Will reach out to have you try a test branch version to see if this fixes it.
I do not recommend charging to full without a BMS.

Re: Kei Truck Leaf Swap
So long story short, helped out Ethan. Do not trust your EVSE works.
Never gotten it work on the first 240Vac EVSE Ethan had, it ended up working on another EVSE at 110Vac.
It ended working with no further changes on a public EVSE so the issue was clearly the bad first EVSE.
