Hello, I am Topal
and i'm new to this forum, even though I have been watching it for a while without registering, but I took the plunge and here I am!
in France, we have Kangoo ZE but also ZOE which all suffer from the same problem, the PEB, very often it is the 15 volt DCDC converter which no longer works!
the problem is that the PEB as you know is coded so I started looking to clone this inverter.
I have made a lot of progress, I am able to start the inverter on the workbench by sending the CAN wake-up frame, to connect to the TC1797 in DAP mode because in JTAG the connection is not made!
and I use an original Infineon miniwiggler to do the job, and it works pretty well except for one problem and I hope you can shed some light on my problem, I read the D-flash without any problem but the P-flash no there is no way, and when starting memtool it has an error message on the initialization of the P-flash precisely!
for a start I hope not to be too heavy with my question
thanks
Pat

Re: PEB Kangoo cloning
Welcome!
I have no input at all to your actual question.
Just wondering: how hard would it be to repair the 15V converter?

Re: PEB Kangoo cloning
I have no idea about this controller, so only some guesses. Most likely the board has a watchdog which makes resets as soon as you stop the controller via the debug interface. Or did you already disable the watchdog? Other direction: Maybe there are different types of these controllers (different memory size etc). Maybe a special configuration file is necessary for the controller. And last: Maybe there is some protection, to disable the read-out. Should be mentioned in the data sheet.

Re: PEB Kangoo cloning
hello, the watchdog I cannot deactivate it, I use memtool which is the infineon utility which allows you to read, write and erase the tricore type chip like the TC2797 which is hard this inverter
and the configuration files are already not done infineon
it may be that the pflash is locked but I know that it is possible to read and write this chip because EC CLINIC do it.
I'm not far from the solution but I must be forgetting something and that's why I'll need a little help to understand
thank you again

Re: PEB Kangoo cloning
Hello. I am new to the forum.
Looking for the same solution. Mercedes s400 PEB has a similar PEB with TC1797. Which is the big problem when there is a fault comes in main motherboard of PEB. and still there is no solution of cloning this board.
I have tried to swap eeprom to the used PEB. But not worked.
I have tried to read tc1797 with infineon DAS memtool. I have read Pflash data but It do not read Dflash.
Any suggestions would be appreciated..
Thanks

Re: PEB Kangoo cloning
I know about solution to make PEB virgin, but it coast too expensive. My solution is change PEB with BCM and key. I install on Fluence ZE PEB from ZOE) Also it is possible for Kangoo ZE, but problem is that BCM is different, and need work on wiring. But find working PEB for Kangoo is not hard.
One time, i change only broken 15v converter in PEB, and board with MCU stay original.
