1993 Mazda RX-7 (FD) EV Swap Kit (Tesla + AEM + ElectricGT)

Post by rjmcdermott81 »

I bought another car, so it's time to move on. I am open to selling the complete, perfectly running car, but I wanted to offer up the whole swap package if someone has a roller already.

This swap is 100% reversible. The only cutting on the car is to remove the spare tire well, which can be welded back in easily.

To be clear - everything is 100% engineered, fabricated, and ready to go. I would expect an industrious person to be able to drop this in a car that is prepped in a long weekend.

The finished product is a batshit fast, 2900lb Rx7 (same as stock) reliable swap.

The swap config is comparable and running the same tune as: https://electricgt.com/shop/egt-913-sys ... e-911-912/
  • Everything listed as <500 miles on it
  • 16 x ElectricGT OX Drive Power Batteries (42 KwH)
  • Tesla Model S large drive unit (tested, working perfectly)
  • Battery cooling system with custom radiator
  • Custom drop-in Rx7 Battery Structure (bolts in the front to the existing motor mounts and in the rear to existing bolts)
  • AEM ECU + Tesla driver + CAN controller (mounts hidden where the jack goes)
  • Custom Rx7 rear subframe
  • Custom rear motor mount (Will need to be welded to frame rails.  Easy work, anybody with a MIG can do it)
  • Custom side motor mount
  • Brake vacuum pump
  • Custom Rx7 wiring
  • Zeva BMS + custom mount in shifter area
  • Charger
  • DC-DC Setup
  • Tesla Model S "gas" pedal with custom mount
  • Drop-in mount for Wiring box, charger, DC-DC (fits in transmission tunnel)
  • Custom axles (Tesla axles modified for your outer CV joints)
  • Custom rear 12v battery mount tray
I'll provide up to 10 hours of "support" to the buyer to help explain anything needed.

I can help coordinate shipping, etc.
