These two pins are used to set Direction

• Pin 53 - Reverse

• Pin 54 - Forward

just want to share some screen shots with those who are still waiting on their Zombies to arrive

we find the dirmode [direction mode] under the Parameters aka "Settings" section in the Open Inverter web interface for the ZombieVerter VCU accessible via WiFi

Button is our first choice. This option is designed for one or two momentary press buttons to put your car in either Drive aka Forward direction or Reverse. The way this works is you press a button and you are in that mode until you press the other button

ButtonReversed is our third choice. You would use this if say you took a rear motor from an OEM vehicle and flipped it to install it in the front of your new vehicle. The default forward direction would now spin your wheels backwards, so ButtonReversed takes care of this situation.

SwitchReversed is our fourth choice. You would use this if say you took a rear motor from an OEM vehicle and flipped it to install it in the front of your new vehicle. The default forward direction would now spin your wheels backwards, so SwitchReversed takes care of this situation.

DefaultForward is our fifth choice. This setting tells the VCU that as soon as we turn the key to the Run position we are ready to Drive, without any signals, buttons, switches going to Pin 53. This may be all you need for the Lexus GS450h rear wheel drive transmission as it has a traditional internal reverse gear inside the transmission so you just use the floor shifter to manually put it in Reverse. The motor still spins forward but it is the counter gear mated with the reverse gear that makes the car go backwards. So no wire on pin 54 needed to go in Reverse.
