any interest in Model 3/Y battery packs (with motor etc?)

Post by boekel »

I'm getting more and more Model3/Y packs offered.

I can get them with charge socket and complete with motor also.
VIN number of donor vehicle included

prices fluctuate a bit, but as a guide:

75(?) kWh long range

pack plus charge port incl charge module €5000
above, plus rear motor €8000
above, plus both motors €10500

prices ex. VAT, and pickup in Netherlands (Zaandam)

I have been searching for a replacement module 4 from a SR 55kWh Tesla Model 3 battery (four short length modules). Interested if you come across one and willing to split packs

that will be difficult, and I prefer not to take them apart. Do you know what build dates have those packs?

These made in China packs are really nice. And a good price.

If you want the charge port to work you would also need the small white module that sits behind the port near the rear light.

Be careful with the forklift as those packs with short modules are light on one side (just air in that part), and heavy on the other side.
They might fall off.

Ha yes, a friend of mine found out some time ago ;)

I normally don't take the standard range packs btw.

NMC normally, as I go for the long range versions.

Do you know how I can spot if it's LFP with the VIN number or another way?

I’ve never seen a pack so o don’t know offhand. But LFP is 3.2v nominal and NMC is 3.7v, so sometimes you can infer it from the number of cells and the voltage of the module.

Yeah that's kind of hard to see when you have to bid on a battery and only know some data of the car, and the VIN
