No sorry it was just a quick test run to make sure I hadn't done anything stupid 😁

Understood, however if you have a chance to re run, would be of great interest.
Am starting to lean towards some non irreversible way of locking the 3.3 reduction, and do some road assessment, as one feasible way if utilizing the L210 in my application.

if the weather holds I can probably do some testing at the weekend

So I didn't get any of the promised testing done on the car after the post on thursday as I injured my back and have been layed up ever since but I'm feeling almost human again so will try to get something done tomorrow if the weathers reasonable

sadly my backs still giving me grief so not much progress built a new board to control the ancillaries and did a little testing
bear in mind this is with the wheels off the ground so no real load this equated to 50Mph

Took the car for a spin on the road today it was only a side road so nothing too enthusiastic I'm afraid
the first half of the first two logs is uphill the second is downhill

Screenshot 2024-02-11 143002.png

I'm having an issue with some totally unrealistic temperature spikes on the heatsink causing errors as can be seen in this last plot it goes from a stable 18-24 Deg to 5500 Deg which is obviously not a true reading
Screenshot 2024-02-11 144621.png
I also tested Jamies new code for the brake booster which is working perfectly
as for performance it feels far smoother and faster and quieter than it did with the leaf motor but my Gearbox the leaf was coupled to was shot

no it was something of a nervous drive with too many potential points of failure to be distracted by other things I'll do it when it's a bit more finished
I still have to sort out the charging, power steering, BMS, reverse light, cooling fan and the spaghetti I call wiring

Do you have a feeling of the top speed with your diff and tyre set up? Also have you got both mg2 and mg1 spinning up? What did the power feel like? Great work by the way. Really interesting project.

using mg1 and mg2, it feels really quick as for top speed I'd only be guessing, theoretically with the mg2 limit being 14000 rpm my car was showing 50mph at 7000 rpm so a nice legal 70 mph at 10000 rpm so you could guess at 100 mph but thats assuming it would reach 14000 rpm with my maximum 400 Volts under load but making assumptions based on some numbers scribbled on a cigarette packet is not my way so I'll test it and see and share the results when I have :)

:)
On this wheels of the ground 7000rpm ,
Just confirming
think that is mg2 speed ?
The idc is 700 A ?

Or have I got the scaling wrong

Okay, have seen other scale to the left, hidden when phone viewing..
PHEW
30A looks far more reasonable...
So please correct me if needed,

50mph without road load is around 12Kw (30 × 400v ) from the battery ?

I've been doing some more wiring today and now have canbus comms to the charger/dc-dc and the power steering which is good sadly I have made no progress with the inverter heatsink temperature spike if anyone has any thoughts I'm all ears it does seem to be the only thing thats doing this so I'm ruling out any kind of data corruption caused by hv wiring etc as other things would be affected if that was the case.
Also, I decided to keep the entire motor to gearbox coupling to lock the input shaft, this was a bad idea as it rattles like mad going on and off the throttle I think it's made worse by my badly worn diff to lock it up solid I've either got to drop the l210 or take out the front batt box, inverter and charger none of which are easy 5 minute jobs that will teach me for being clever

Does the heatsink temperature spike happen always at the same speed?

I have the same temp over read on mine also whilst bench testing.
Temp shoots up once the motor is turning.

I came across some other instances as well notably:
viewtopic.php?p=50409#p50409

I've tried moving the bytes where this temp is taken from in the code but no success, so for now I have just commented it out.

I would risk removing it also so I can get on with the project but I wouldnt know how
I'm hoping Damien gets his 300h in soon and discovers the same issue as the car is basically undriveable as it stands, worse case is I abandon the 300h and try to fit a 450h in which would be a shame as the l210 shows a lot of promise and I'm not sure a 450h would fit

I can send you a version with a hardcoded value for testing purposes.

What zombie fw are you currently using?

Just please don't publish it here publicly, unofficial binaries can lead to significant issues in the long run.
