Dual motor Setup, WIFI Module IP Address change

Post by ardillolambo »

Folks,

I have a dual motor set up, already work with the F-SDU and have it running, I'm about to start working with the R-SDU, is there a way to change the WIFI module IP Address and name, so I can have them in different IP Addresses and access them individually but at the same time, same for the Gen 3 charger that I'll be setting up soon.

The wifi name can be changed via the web interface.
For a different ip address you will need to change the code.

Would it be worth adding 2 solder jumpers to the ESP32 to change the IP address?

I'd just add it to the web interface in Wifi settings. Creates a file with the new IP address. If file doesn't exist roll with default 4.1

I may know the answer already...but I still have to ask to make sure. It appears that changing the name of the WIFI module is pretty straight forward, no the IP address, can I still connect with both WIFI modules at the same time and change parameters? if not, what is the path to make the changes on the WIFI module code, it looks like it will be a painful one.
