ACIM motor with Openinverter

Post by arber333 »

I am offering my ACIM motor with DIY Openinverter from Mazda here...
I want 1000€ for both + shipping and crating as combined weight is at 90kg!
Price is negotiable ;) .

1. Motor ACIM
AKOE 132.2.2.100024
Motor is aircooled by fan on tailshaft
28kW nominal
It was eventually rewinded from 75Vrms to 180Vrms to suit high voltage 320Vdc battery voltage. I succesfully ran it with 400Vdc. Higher voltage allows to run motor at nominal power a lot longer. It is highway capable motor for cars around 1t.
Attached are certificates and power graph. I would imagine kW and frequency wise it is the same only voltage and Amps values need to be corrected. I am posting mechanical data from 20kW shorter version as it uses the same flange.
I also add aluminum flange parts

Asking 600€ for motor separately + crating and shipping naturally

2. DIY inverter based on Openinverter R2 core board.
400A IGBTs are liquid cooled
3x 3.3uF snubber caps
Capacitors up to 500V
Skyper 32R desat drivers
DC Contactor and precharge relay are located inside inverter and precharge logic allows to simply connect DC link directly.
DC and RMS rails are designed with EMI in mind so they are stacked wherever possible with easy screw in terminals designed for 35mm2 cables.
Of course you get 16 pin control cable with pinout for connecting to your application.
Because of motors considerable torque i had several desat events and i designed my IGBT drivers around Skyper 32R platform. When i managed to scope the outputs i could set deadtime so there are protected against desat and brownout events.
All in all inverter is designed as much impregnable as possible and in its history from 2018 i never had a catastrophic event.
A lot of fine craftmanship went into that design so as to maka as close DIY to OEM as possible so i feel the price is not exaggerated. Some photos of the build...

Asking 600€ for inverter separately from motor + shipping.
