Potnom won’t increase past 0%

Post by Garagehermit »

When I increase my throttle from (roughly) half-throttle to full throttle, the potnom value stays at 0%. Is this normal or an easy parameter fix? I will try a different Hall effect sensor and slide potentiometer to see if the problem is repeatable. I got motor to spin w/ start 2 testing but haven’t been able to spin motor with throttle.

Sorry, relevant parameters listed below with unlisted parameters at the default (aside from motor parameters):
Throtmax 100
Potmin 3100, Potmax 4095 , Pot2min 65 , Potmax 200

Potmode 0 (single regen). throtramp 100
Throtramprpm 20000

Brknompedal -50, brknom 20, brkmax -5, brkampstr 10,
Brkout -50

Potnom stays at zero when throttle > 3268 (18%)

With brknom=40, potnom stays at zero w/ throttle>3385, (30%)

My pot2 readings go from 40-52 so it made sense to set those parameters outside that range. Setting pot2min/max to 40,52 made no difference.

Connected different Hall effect sensor and got same result, no surprise there.

Nowadays there is quite some derating going on. Voltage, current, etc. So it would be good if you could just download the parameter file in the web interface and post it here. Also you actual DC voltage as displayed by udc.

My Udc reads roughly 310 with pack connected. It was 3.1v with pack disconnected when I was just playing around with throttle parameters.
I was a little overly cautious with playing with some of the parameter values... and yet I was not cautious enough with experimenting with most other hardware components. I only blew up two igbts and 4 dcdc converters so far and had a lot of fun in the process. Thank you for making this opportunity available to eager newbies

So your dc voltage is 310 but you set udcmin=400V
Inverter thinks your battery is empty and does not allow acceleration
