You are checking the overflow plug not looking for it coming out of the fill plug?

the parts guy said new transmissions take 6 quarts and helped me guestimate about 3 to re fill a used one, but maybe the boys who shipped it to me pumped it all out to meet the may cause cancer in California regulations ?

but you know what they say, "where there's a will, and an angle grinder..."
we don't need no stinkin' hex thingies
so I didn't cross thread this guy, I just grinded it too far down in one spot and exposed the threads, that section is facing away from the camera, I will redo this side (... or not, no one will ever know)

I'm working on an alternative design, still at the testing stage but expect it to be finished by this time next week, just need to adjust the position of the LH inlet:

that looks amazing, luv the reinforced wing design! can't tell from the pics but does it protrude into the Inverter cavity at all that would really stabilize it and add some terminal isolation from the case

so after a second trip to get more trans fluid, she only took a small swig of the 4th bottle for a total of 3 1/4 quarts thought this will be helpful to future Padawans topping theirs off

this next high voltage motor cable repair I wrote up in excruciating detail in this Lexus GS450h Transmission Inverter High Voltage Cable Repair so here I will just share some highlights, in case you was wondering why the truck aint running yet
when i first got my Lexus GS450h transmission off a seller on eBay I noticed the big fat orange cables attached to the motors had small gashes in them with some copper exposed, Not Good!
can someone kindly learn me what this silver webbing is called and what purpose does it server, please and thank you

I believe that is shielding to reduce the EMF emitted and thus interference in other electrical devices nearby? But I'm not an EE so I could be wildly incorrect.
If at first you don't succeed, buy a bigger hammer.

just a quick check list of how my Final Assembly went down as a husband, amateur EV converter, and a father of a teenage daughter with a 2010 Mazda 3 which just through a P0753 code aka "bad shift solenoid" [pronounced: "needs a new friggen $900 dollar TCM"]
Easy-peasy !!! do you have a similar story? I would luv to hear about it to calm my nerves, jk
The Suspect and People's Exhibits A & B
- Install Inverter bracket
- remove the bad OEM TCM from Mazda
- Install the six Battery modules
- install brand new $400 dollar aftermarket TCM in the Mazda
- Install Inverter
- test drive... [ahem] the Mazda
- Install Safety Box
- learn that the new TCM is a brick and needs to be programmed / so remove it (how did it even drive, I don't know?!)
- Install the battery pack lid
- put the bad OEM TCM back in the Mazda
- Install the DC-DC Converter
- learn that the Mazda stealership won't program the new brick aftermarket TCM unless it's installed
- Install the Battery Charger
- remove the bad OEM TCM from Mazda [again]
- Install the Main Engine Wire Harness (the Inverter plug one)
- deliberately reinstall the brand new $400 dollar aftermarket bricked TCM in the Mazda
- Install the Transmission Wire Harness (the one with the resolver cables)
- Simply connect both the A and B plugs into the VCU, and you're done!

Yes, it's designed to work with the Damien's design of posts. I'm printing a confirmation over the weekend and if it's all OK I'll release it next week.PatrcioEV-ATX wrote: ↑Wed Jul 12, 2023 4:19 pm This looks great.
