Volt Contactor Amp Draw
Does anyone know what the amperage draw of the Chevy Volt contactors is? Both peak and hold? I don't have a bench supply to test mine, and I plan on using them for Chademo charging.

Re: Volt Contactor Amp Draw
Belay that, I found my answer. Thanks again to arber for always having the Volt/ampere answers somewhere

This means they had to use one of theese on + line and another on - side. Together you get 240A rating for system with 800A for a burst of power.
Contactor pulls 0.5A when active.

Re: Volt Contactor Amp Draw
I have clarified this sentence in the wiki. Putting two contactors in series doesn't double their current capability and I'm sure it's not what arber meant to say. They need to be paralleled for double current capability

In my head i was assembling contactors in parallel. However in Volt they are each on its own line. This means system rating is 120A cont.
I was amazed how low rated those contactors are vs Tyco contactors i normally use.
But lately as i drive complete system with OEM compoments on CAN commands i see amp demand is not so high...
