Hi Folks
Today i tried to drive Mazda a bit. I managed to get it from the parking space in reverse and then prepared to drivoff. Inverter threw an error. I reset the error and tried again. I wasnt able to start even when i put my transmission in neutral. Something i was able to do when i first started the car.
Then i tried to see the faults if any. I connected to Wifi interface and i saw only a warning "Warning Throttle".
There was no overcurrent event only throttle issue.
When i started inverter again and observed the graph i got normal throttle response. This means throttle signal is getting to inverter. There was one thing though. When i pressed the brake its vacuum pump went on and throttle signal went down a few points. Probably a reference issue in 12V power supply.
Then i tried to start in manual to get the motor to spin. I used 1Hz and 50% amps setting at 350Vdc. No luck getting inverter to start again...
I didnt see any additional errors that accompany faults in IGBTs...
I need to take mainboard apart....
Anyone has any ideas?

Throttle warning means throttle went more than 200 digits outside your configured window. Maybe some ground fault? Something came loose or corroded.

Re: DIY rev2 inverter throttle error
Strangely my scope measures hall sensor voltage change really fine. It must be something on the board then....
But why i cant run the motor in manual mode?

Re: DIY rev2 inverter throttle error
Ok i traced non movable motor to 12V - 15V driver DCDC PSU. It burned out and drivers were unpowered. I replaced that and motor spins good.
That didnt take away strange error involving throttle and throwing out contactor every time throttle moves to origin position. Or if i press the brake for that matter.
If i manage.to rev the motor and drive i can add throttle as i whish. However if i come close to a stop inverter would throw error.
That looks very much like an encoder issue. But there is no error associated with it!
I use AB encoder and i remember you said brain doesnt show encoder errors for that type.
Shall i open the motor and see encoder state?

Re: DIY rev2 inverter throttle error
Yes correct, no diagnosis on AB encoders.
