Forum structure

Post by johu »

The current forum structure is what Dima and me came up with initially.
  • What other forum would you like to see? EV build forum?
  • Should we have a "HOWTO" forum with instructions for certain tasks? Or a wiki instead?
Thanks for your help.

Hi,
I have a small request - can you configure links to be opened in a new browser tab? Or maybe it is configurable for users somewhere?

Thanks :)

Hello Johannes. Maybe a Classifieds section in this forum, I am sure we all have parts we wish to swap, sell or buy or offer services/skills ? Thanks in advance. Peter

Hi Johannes, I was thinking maybe a section for each reverse engineered inverter. So the Hardware section is for your master design, but then there are variants say for your Leaf inverter, Damien's Prius inverter, Tesla, Siemens and so on.

Also, maybe a separate section for the BMS. This looks very interesting! :)

I'd like to second the request for a BMS section . I don't know if Johannes has plans for a bms build , but I have a Leaf pack and would
love to use the bms in that as it is - maybe a micro controller which also looks after DC-DC and battery charger - if only I could code !
but old dogs , new tricks etc.....

Proposal:
Create an introduction section;
A lot of us need to get started so creating a project thread is not yet appropriate.
This will also avoid thread hijacking.

I'd like to request adding a bbcode for strikethrough text. I guess this feature has to be added explicitly by the admin.

Many thanks :) Is it possible to embed mp4 videos or instagram video posts?

Suggestion:

I think it would be nice if we had a like, love, thanks etc. reaction buttons under the posts. Just saw some addons on the phpBB community adding this feature, but unfortunately I couldn't find a working demo.

EDIT: Just found a demo, but in French :) http://www.ezcom-fr.com/viewtopic.php?t=744
