Interestingly the chemistry proportions are not listed but elsewhere I found 811 mentioned. Could somebody confirm?

I am looking for an electric van/bus!
Hi, long shot but anybody seen any electric vans/minivans for sale? I would mainly be interested in the older/experimental ones that already are classed as electric but does not drive that perhaps need a battery upgrade. Would like to make it run and use for a bit of traveling. 😊 In EU so LHD prefer...

Hi, thanks for integrating this into the Zombie. The shunt also works? Wonder what kind of amperage the shunt and the contactors would handle?

Re: 2008 Nissan Quest Van with Tesla SDU. [FINISHED]
That compared with new CALB batteries that are 245W/Kg, that is 41kW for 96 batteries.. What if you find a nice 40 kwh Leaf pack with little use? Wouldn't it be better and more cost effective than shipping them from China? Leaf 40 kwh is NMC and a good stable chemistry. Also it will have a BMS insi...

Or convince the conversion company to use your own second hand components and go with AC system and higher battery voltage. Then they will only be liable for their work and not their components. If a component fails simply replace it at your own cost.

Re: Please don't stone me ;-) CCS to Type 2 AC Adapter/Converter?
How would you convert CCS to type2 without a transformer? Do you have some ideas? Because that's in no way similar to CCS to Chademo adapter where it's only a matter of getting communication protocols to work as they are both DC power. With CCS to Type2 you not only need the comms to work but also n...

Re: Please don't stone me ;-) CCS to Type 2 AC Adapter/Converter?
Most public AC chargers should be capable of providing 22kw of power, I propose to install an app like plugshare and double check what power most AC chargers are in Germany. If most of them are 22 kw then your problem is solved. I currently only have type2 myself and a 17 kw Tesla charger. I had a c...

Re: LTO battery management
LTO is supposedly the most forgiving chemistry out there. And it can offer huge discharge rates. But it depends on what condition you can get them. As they also can be run down from what I have seen. If you would need cooling it would depend on how you'll use them. Since you are looking to make a hy...

Re: LTO battery management
Also why is the C rating that important here? If you have a smaller 20ah cell that can deliver 5C or if you have 100ah cell that can deliver 1C the end result is the same. I would recommend using at least 2P configuration in your battery design. That way you will get higher C ratings, higher chargin...

Help identify Tesla gen3 charger DC voltage divider circuit
Hi, So I have been using 17 kw 3 phase Tesla gen3 charger for over a year and I'm very happy with it. However it has one drawback that it's modules shut down once they reach 420v. I however noticed that in my charger one of the modules is reporting ~4 volts lower DC voltage than the other two and th...

Re: BMS questions
Nissan leaf, if so, which version, simpBms, or something else? If you don't need fast balancing you could use Tesla model S BMS slave boards together with SimpBMS. This would make a fully customisable stand alone BMS solution and what's best about it is that you would be very flexible on how many c...

Re: LTO battery management
A while ago I was very interested in LTO and was seriously researching them. It is a very stable chemistry that is able to deliver a lot of amps and they supposedly almost don't lose capacity in the freezing cold. Also they are advertised as able to handle some 20000 cycles although I am not sure if...
