Okay, but why so many pictures of the laptop screen?
Did you note down what state the BMS was in when the log was taken? I presume you have not yet connected back up any of the cells.

Re: Contactors in series....
Never mind, I have no clue what is going on. I would need to work it out for myself and no real point to that.
In the end it does not matter as you can use them how you need them to work. Just makes sure you work out their ratings and how to drive them.

Re: Contactors in series....
I think you made a mistake identifiying the Charge Contactor connections. DCR are the DC fast charge relays, thus they connecto to the Fast Charge port, which in your drawing you labeled pos and neg. The Battery connection is actually CB and CB The diagram is very chaotic so quite stupid to follow. ...

Latest merge into the STM32_VCU now allows more power from a 300h gearbox and inverter combination. It was being limited by the fixed values. https://github.com/damienmaguire/Stm32-vcu Results are going from 120A DC to now 280DC, and rising. Testing will still need to be conducted to find the real p...

Re: Foccci wakeup/sleep discussions
Yes, have the Focci performance an OKAY to drive and not an DO NOT drive scenario. This way you cannot drive if the Focci is in an error state, not powered or waking up. Waking up on PP is not needed, if you have it wake on kl15 or CAN when wanting to drive to have it give the okay. On my builds the...

Please draw it out for us. I am a bit confused by what you mean. download the settings and share them here please. Also go to the latest firmware as you are having the known tmphs issue, due to faulty reading of the value. Possibly this is not yet rolled into the latest release. if you plot tmphs and try spinning it you should see it jumping high. Also why you tr...

the damn thing just took of like a bat out of hell I can't wait to do some real testing :D that was a real shove in the back Be great if you could get the car sorted now you know she is dangerous. Now thats more then double the current draw, and no flat point insight on the current draw. Better get the car ready for some higher speed acceleration tests.

Thanks Jamie, Andy please keep to a conservatie throttle max for now, we want to see if the IDC levels off as quick now. Should theoretically not be the case so the torque will carry on for longer.

Re: [WIP] BMW Z3
So currently you are hitting +/- 110-120A consistently, has your voltage been dropping and you not charged when doing tests over the past week?
It is very likely that you are hitting a discharge power limit.

Re: [WIP] BMW Z3
it is still very clear there is a bit of lag from potnom/torque request to when it pulls current. The vast discrepancy of torque actually being generated/power draw vs the "commanded" torque is crazy. 'Potnom of 25% yields roughly a 800 torque request which can yield the max draw of 110A. ...

Re: Orion BMS and CCS
Yes like I said. Charging - 12V into charge power from whatever detects the plug and decides that charging is going to happen. Orion configured for the Felten CCS is looking for the CAN message to determine if it is AC or DC charge. You need the Elcon CAN profile also active if the Orion then needs ...

Re: Orion BMS and CCS
Way the Orion 2 interprets it is AC current limit is 0xFF means it is not AC charging. If the current limit is anything else it takes the AC current limit and uses it for its own onboard logic to control the AC Onboard charger. Ofcourse you still need to power the Orion with Ready or Charge 12V powe...

It is literally in the CAN message screen of the Orion. It auto populates.

Re: Orion BMS and CCS
Run the Zero-EV/Fellten CCS controller profile. It will then allow the Orion to recieve the CP limits over CAN and thus control the onboard charger. You will need to sort the waking of the BMS when you want to charge as the PP wake up is no longer done via the Orion. You cannot have more the one dev...
