I believe this is a heat exchange from a golf GTE / A3 Etron. if you order one make sure you have the high pressure side pipe as it has a restrictor installed inside as the heat exchange does not have a TXV on it.

Re: VW A/C Compressor
as these are the values the control unit are giving I would say they are right. I'm assuming Muehlpower did some very accurate guess work. also just realized what's in his original post lines up with my results and theres a few mistakes in the wiki. as i am emulating the pump and the values are clea...

Re: VW A/C Compressor
I just simulated the AC pump to the climate control and got some values. They seem very different from muehlpower results but these are from VCDS so i trust them. i didnt not go thru all the error and status options but i will in the future. byte 1 errors to do later byte 2 status inverter temp 01 o...

Re: VW A/C Compressor
its possible that the the other 2 bytes are fine value. Like 0-4bar representation. and that the other 2 bytes are course. So to get the total pressure you calculate the 0-4bar values and the course value and sum them up. I came across a current sensor who did this with 2 analog outputs. i will giv...

Re: VW A/C Compressor
Great plot @pete9008 the data should be very accurate as i emulated the pressure sensor and read the values of a factory climate control module via diagnostic. its a shame i don't know what byte 3 and 4 do as i couldn't see any values on diagnostic change. I was trying to do the same with sending th...

Re: VW A/C Compressor
hi its been a while. i had some free time today and was working decoding the pressure reading from the factory sensor. i connected upto the heater control on my work bench and send the can wakeup signal and connected VCDS to read the ac pressure sensor values. i then emulator the lin bus signals to ...

have you scanned it with Vcds? check the airbag module as that is what sends the crash shutdown signal. there are also two removable fuses around the car which are supposed to make it safe to work on. what has happened to the car before this error appeared ? https://www.nfpa.org/-/media/Files/Traini...

Very nice! That manual says can or lin. I wonder if it's model specific or if they're all capable of both. They seem to be listed under different part numbers so i would assume they cant do both. i have sent messages out on all 64 channels and got the following replays 8e, ff ff ff ff ,71 enhanced ...

There pretty much the same apart from the 7PP. the letter at the end signifies a hardware or software revision normally minor changes. the 12E compressors was originally for the VW E-up but was also used on the early golf GTEs before they where changed to the 5QE ones all the ones i have seen are R1...

I think one is enough, anymore and you could find yourself running around the car everytime you go over a speed bump especially london speed bumps

Re: Using SRS (airbag) sensor to trigger shutdown/contactor open?
Does your existing vehicle have an airbag module or is it something you want to add ?
if your adding you could use the old style inerita switch which would be alot cheaper and faster with alot less problem solving.

like the link above.
