Re: Volvo V60 ERAD Electric Rear Axle Differential + Inverter
ERAD weight is around 48Kg (including cables & oil). I haven't driven a V60 PHEV yet, but have been told that it will reach in Pure (electric only) mode about 120-130km/h. Meanwhile I had the chance to make logfiles of both CAN-busses in a running V60 and did build up some communication with the...

Sure, or course. Will check one of these days if the V7 is released yet, else just start from the V6.Jack Bauer wrote: ↑Thu Apr 01, 2021 10:08 am If you do such modifications please feed them back into the community.

Re: Tesla SDU/LDU Update
Hi Isaac / Johannes, Will the V7 design files be made available for us hobbyists at some moment ? I would like to modify a couple of things to my personal taste (different (possibly isolated) CAN-transceiver, ESD-protection on the CAN, terminator on solderjumpers, additional high-side signal outputs...

Re: Arduino Due CAN stops sending
I don't have experience with the DUE, but just with the Teensy's so the info below may not be applicable for you; Are you using the 'millis()' or 'micros()' command for creating timers/delays ? If yes, be aware that the returned value runs over. That has to be taken into account in your code. Had si...

Re: GM / Chevrolet Volt Gen2 DC-DC converter
Did you connect 12V battery or just the load? Yes I connected a small battery on the output. That might probably be needed to let it start. I can't remember the PWM frequency, but I used the same as on the output (which you can measure). Given the fact that the charger uses 100Hz, I guess the DCDC ...

Re: Tesla SDU/LDU Update
... The schematic specifies NCV8401, an integrated low-side driver/MOSFET package. JLC doesn't have those. They have NCV8403 which is a drop-in, but that's out of stock. ST has the 'Omnifet' line but those are equally unavailable for assembly. Parts availability is currently a general issue.. You c...

Good work ! Nice 3D printing work ! waterpump pic 1.jpg Do you use this Bosch PAD-12V pump for just a partial coolant circuit, or for the complete (inverter-motor-charger-batteries) coolant loop ? Where the Bosch PAD's can create a differential pressure of around 0,1-0,15bar (at around 1 Amp), the u...

Volvo V60 ERAD Electric Rear Axle Differential + Inverter
For a small car conversion I would like to get a Volvo V60 PHEV rear-axle motor running. Preferably just by CAN-controlling the inverter, if that gets to difficult, I will 'johannes' the inverter : -) (or use another inverter) - Does someone have a CAN-logfile of the HS-CAN & SENSOR-CAN of a Vol...

Re: Mitsubishi i-MiEV BMS
I just sent you per e-mail the version I used for testing. It was my very first Arduino-experience at that time, so I am pretty sure I screwed up a lot (bashing the "compile" button until it compiled , and took out a lot of code that I didn't need / understand). So watch out if copying par...

Re: i3 controller hacking from diyelectriccar.com
The REME (small 25kW REX inverter) could be a nice option for small cars & motorcycle conversions. Looking at the video, it has a quite basic controlPCB with no weird connectors and an easy interfaceable IGBT-driver board without SPI (https://www.infineon.com/cms/en/product/power/gate-driver-ics...

Re: Charging from a generator ?
The Leaf batteries are not the best cooled batteries, and you will certainly generate a lot of heat in them while racing, subsequently fast charging and racing again. Would it be an option to make two batteryboxes and a smart solution to easily swap them ?

I am in a similar situation, but with some Volvo / LG-Chem packs of which I want to put 3 in parallel. My four guesses: Option 1: (which you already suggested) Use three SimpBMS / Teensy 3.2 controllers. Link them with some hardwired signals for synchronizing the state (balancing activate / deactiva...

This is how I made mine from Tesla stubs. Original stub at the left. :?: Wy didn't you weld first the chunks of metal to the Tesla stubs and then afterwards on the lathe you brought everything into shape? 8-) Wouldn't that be more precise? Since welding can "move" the parts? Sure, that wo...

Re: Porsche Boxster 986 Tesla conversion [FINISHED]
Maybe the safest way is to measure the distance over the flanges of the original diff. Borrow somewhere a large caliper (how I did it), measure the original distance vs. the flanges in Tesla DU and dimensions the cup adaptors accordingly. This is how I made mine from Tesla stubs. Original stub at th...

Well-documented disassembly, nice !
I am curious about the dimensions of the single battery modules and the weight. Did you measure them, or do you still have one within reach ?
Thanks !
