Re: Wanted: 2nd gen Tesla Charger (UK/EU)
I may have one with evbmw board, but as I got it from a source that someone later expressed doubts about I would like to wire it up to work with the board and test the functionality before I'm confident about selling it to anyone.

64 kWh Hyundai Kona Battery for 5500EUR https://dalys.lt/en/autoparts/hyundai/k ... ry/6373043 I would pick it up myself for this price but I don't think it's a good fit for my needs.

Re: VW eGolf hardware
I have 2 of the 36kWh eGolf packs and a SimpBMS on the way and am wondering whether there is some flexibility in reconfiguring them to a combined pack. I could use the two packs in parallel but I'm not sure that I have the weight budget for that yet, in any case that would probably mean that I need ...

Just a sidenote .ua is Ukrainian domain, not to say the people on there could not be Russian and that they don't write Russian there but some people might find it offensive when you get lumped together with a different country that just so happens is preparing to invade yours.

So they have micro-inverters per cell, each controlled individually? Their website claims they use second life batteries. So the idea is to optimize cell-variance by being able to control each according to their ability? In essence an active bms combined with microinverters? I wish them luck and it'...

Re: GS450H inverter and motor - how much cooling needed? How big Rad?
Well, the original radiator is meant for the ICE engine. Lets say hard or fast driving you will get 100kW of usable engine power out of it. At 20% efficiency this is about 400kW of waste heat. Or take something more in the realm of regular usage, cruising at 120 km/h you need about 20-25kW of power,...

Re: GS450H - How to remove the engine - Any tips?
Lexus tech and the service manuals have a step by step guide how to remove and replace anything, including the engine. I think it's a great place to start. I don't have that book yet but there are digital copies of lexus-tech available on ebay and stuff.

Re: GAZ-24 Volga 1983г.
The Volga is RWD so maybe easier with the GS450h gear? You could probably also make it the fastest (and scariest) Volga in the world, for about 3 minutes until the diff or driveshaft or something else only meant to only handle about 100hp breaks.

Turn on Closed Captions in youtube and then in settings make it auto-translate into english. Works ok-ish. It does not say much in there, just explains that it draws 4 amps, has oil cooling with ATF oil, number of teeth in the sprocket, that there's a welded hole on the side etc.

Re: Project AKU: GS450h driven by GS450h transmission and GS450h inverter
Are you sure that the engine is going to be scrap money? I don't see many (if any) 2GR-FSEs left in the EU, and they are a somewhat hot item in some destinations (say, Russia - the 5th cylinder wear problems due to dust ingress past the air filter thing). I used the term 'scrap' rather loosely here...

So the status of this is that it was a really cold winter and the unheated garage was not very inviting. I have picked up some work on it now tho. My initial plan was to get as much can capture as I can before starting to deice the car. There are tons of ECU's on the car and I believe at least 3 dat...

Re: Prius Gen 4 Inverter Hacking
I could not resist when I saw a CH-R and a 4WD RAV4 Gen4 inverters available for 100 euros each. To my surprise the RAV4 inverter is much larger than the CH-R. It has 3 inverters in it but it still looks much beefier than I could have imagined. I will crack them open sometime and post more photos so...

Re: Source for Neo Magnets, Prius rotors?
Prius motors apparently have about a kilo of them in there. The earlier models have more than later ones. When I last checked it did not seem a viable business model to get the magnets and sell them for profit. Someone estimated the value of magnets to "$150 for the Prius motor." Theres al...

For peeps in Europe there is one (maybe even two) full LS600h gearbox with the transfer case available for 90 EUR. Shipping to my neck of woods is about 90EUR, probably uneconomical for the rest of the world. No cable harnesses unfortunately. https://www.xdalys.lt/en/lexus-ls-600h-gearbox-awd-07-12...

You can get a resistor from mouser or any of the electronics retail places. The recommendation is to have about 200 ohm of and it should handle about 100W of heat dissipation (it's only used for a few seconds each time). https://eu.mouser.com/ProductDetail/TE-Connectivity-Holsworthy/1-1625999-8/ is ...

Re: Lexus GS450H motors - How many KW have been achieved on running projects?
Using AWG#2 wires between battery packs and AWG#0 between HV distribution box and inverter. Is your HVJB farther from the inverter than the battery from the HVJB? I would make sense to make the long runs bigger than the short ones. Even Toyota with the Gen4 stuff has the phase wires really puny but...
