@Jack Bauer I've got PWM now.
What's the bare minimum needed to start in mode 1? I don't want to bother with voltage, current and temperature sensors at the moment.
I want to next move on to running my 3D printed motor without position feedback.

Re: Johannes in a Blue Pill
It may be me doing something wrong, but I've flashed the above to bluepill, I've got GND and 3.3V connected as well as UART. Scope probe on PB_13 and issued start 2 (inverter started), set fslipspnt 10 (set OK), set ampnom 10 (set OK) and I don't get any output on PB_13

Re: Johannes in a Blue Pill
Is there some logic that prevents the pwm output in mode 2? I've issued 'start 2' followed by 'set fslipspnt 10' and 'set ampnom 10' but the PWM is not generated. *EDIT* I've looked through the code, and I think I might need to pull B1 high? I'll give that a bash tomorrow. (DigIo::Get(Pin::emcystop_...

thanks johu, list works, so that narrows it down to an issue with the web interface.

Re: Johannes in a Blue Pill
I'm still having issues with my bluepill if any one can suggest anything that may help. I've flashed a blink to it and the led blinks. I've then flashed stm32_sine.bin from github. Connecting to the UART pins on raspberry pi (8 & 10) and connected them to B10 and B11 on the bluepill. The web int...

Re: Johannes in a Blue Pill
I previously flashed a blink sketch from Arduino IDE using FTDI. I've now flashed both the bootloader and firmware. ~/Downloads/stm32flash/stm32flash -r ~/open-inverter/stm32-sine/stm32_sine.hex /dev/tty.wchusbserial1410 stm32flash 0.5 http://stm32flash.sourceforge.net/ Interface serial_posix: 57600...

Re: Johannes in a Blue Pill
I'm having a little play with my newly arrived Blue Pill, I've moved the little jumper across and run ./stm32flash -r ~/open-inverter/tumanako-inverter-fw-bootloader/stm32_loader.hex /dev/tty.wchusbserial1410
Is there any way of checking this has flashed the inverter fw bootloader as expected?

Docker container for building
Hi,
I've published to my github a Docker to build the inverter source code. It saves having to setup build dependencies on your machine. I was having issues building on my mac. The README contains instructions
https://github.com/jamiejones85/open-inverter-docker
Let me know if you have any issues.

Jack Bauer is his username. I still don't have my gen 3 board, but he's had issues with the PCB manufacturer. I'm in no rush. He's one man doing open source work, other suppliers are available for commercial products

I placed an order for a Prius gen 3 board in July, I didn't get a reply to email, I'd assume he gets inundated with them, I just PM'd him on here and he then replied. All good.

Re: Prius Gen3 Inverter Hacking
Those of us waiting for boards, are we getting V1 or V2 now? I'm easy either way.
Had it been available in kit form, I would have gone for that. With regards to using the clone boards, there's no sense in soldering up the circuits when they can be had for so cheap ready made.

Re: Prius Gen3 Inverter Hacking
I'm keeping an eye out on ebay for an inverter at the moment, g9200-47180 to be specific as I believe that's the model number Damian has and I want to be sure the board I've ordered will fit. I'm not an EE by any stretch but I'm a software engineer that tinkers with Arduino a fair bit. I've 3D print...

Re: Der Panzer Tesla Powered BMW E31
Is it not a tad inconvenient to have to bend down and plug in?
This only occurred to me because I've pulled my back and I'd look a sorry sack trying to plug that in.
Looks cool though.

Arber, when you say 3phase rectifier of 40kW, is that using the diodes in the IGBTs to rectify by connecting the phases to the MG 1/2?

Doesn't the Hubner brain have charging already built in?Jack Bauer wrote: ↑Tue Apr 09, 2019 5:41 pm The DC DC runs by itself so yeah that's done. Charger will take a little longer.
What would the benefit of using the prius buck/boost instead be?
