Re: [WIP] BMW Z3

From those plots it is now hitting the 100kW limit as I set in the code. Will need to look at tweaking things more once your car is more sorted.

Cascadia (Rhinehart) PM100DXR inverter for sale

I acquired this Cascadia PM100DXR along time ago, note the low serial number this unit set my back 2000 USD back in 2017. This has just been gathering dust on my shelf. https://www.cascadiamotion.com/productlist/14-inverters/8-pm-inverters/1-pm100 I have not used this inverter, other projects got in...

Over 300A :) Can you get a Amp and UDC graph at some point? Things are starting to look good.

Wonder how much more the limit can go up by. ;)

Re: Interfacing Orion 2 with Thunderstruck EVCC [SOLVED]

You check what speed the CAN is configured for and that you have configured it for the right bus?

Can the EVCC show you the raw CAN it recieves?

Re: Battery advice

Charge them all up, all the modules are under the "nominal voltage" so the differences will be quite large in voltage for a minimal difference in charge. Aging of the modules is why they could get like this, each has different stress. Key is that the modules are matched and do not have del...

Please just post the CAN log. No point squinting at grainy screen pictures.

Best would be to create a github repository.

Okay, but why so many pictures of the laptop screen?

Did you note down what state the BMS was in when the log was taken? I presume you have not yet connected back up any of the cells.

Re: Contactors in series....

Never mind, I have no clue what is going on. I would need to work it out for myself and no real point to that.

In the end it does not matter as you can use them how you need them to work. Just makes sure you work out their ratings and how to drive them.

Re: Contactors in series....

I think you made a mistake identifiying the Charge Contactor connections. DCR are the DC fast charge relays, thus they connecto to the Fast Charge port, which in your drawing you labeled pos and neg. The Battery connection is actually CB and CB The diagram is very chaotic so quite stupid to follow. ...

Re: L210 gearbox

Latest merge into the STM32_VCU now allows more power from a 300h gearbox and inverter combination. It was being limited by the fixed values. https://github.com/damienmaguire/Stm32-vcu Results are going from 120A DC to now 280DC, and rising. Testing will still need to be conducted to find the real p...

Re: Foccci wakeup/sleep discussions

Yes, have the Focci performance an OKAY to drive and not an DO NOT drive scenario. This way you cannot drive if the Focci is in an error state, not powered or waking up. Waking up on PP is not needed, if you have it wake on kl15 or CAN when wanting to drive to have it give the okay. On my builds the...

download the settings and share them here please. Also go to the latest firmware as you are having the known tmphs issue, due to faulty reading of the value. Possibly this is not yet rolled into the latest release. if you plot tmphs and try spinning it you should see it jumping high. Also why you tr...

Thanks Jamie, Andy please keep to a conservatie throttle max for now, we want to see if the IDC levels off as quick now. Should theoretically not be the case so the torque will carry on for longer.

Re: [WIP] BMW Z3

So currently you are hitting +/- 110-120A consistently, has your voltage been dropping and you not charged when doing tests over the past week?

It is very likely that you are hitting a discharge power limit.
