Re: ISO TP can Kangoos BMS

Dalas battery emulator doesn't do iso to to query each cell measurement. It does decide some frames it sends out though with normal can [EDIT] Actually, it does look at to a bit of ISOTP can, 0x7BB I think is a response frame ID from the BMS. So I need to do more reading to workout how to expand thi...

ISO TP can Kangoos BMS

Anyone got any info on using ISO TP to request data from a Kangoo BMS, source code would be even better.

Not checked, but assuming it is 8s modules :D Can't workout how to create a wiki page, so dumping here for now. The pack has 2 low voltage connectors, a black and a grey. [insert mating part numbers] It only has one contactor, rated at 150a and a pre charge relay. No negative contactor. There's a se...

Re: CAN map in zombie (and OI?) For newbs

There is no standard list, it's entirely configurable and nothing happens by default (excluding messages for specifically selected hardware/integrations). Someone did start a table trying to standardise OI can messages https://openinverter.org/wiki/CAN_table_CAN_STD One thing though that might be us...

Re: [DRIVING] VW Touran powered by Nissan Leaf [FINISHED]

I'm currently stuck in CCS mounting pain too. I've not taken a look at a load of CCS plugs, what sort of clearance is required around the port?
Currently thinking of mounting sideways and wonder if I'll have issues getting the plug in there?

That part of the harness is simple and easy to make up yourself, the part numbers for the connectors are on the wiki. I had to make mine. I used https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/204017685320 for the cable. Make sure not to use solid core cable.

WTB: BLDC motor controller 72V

Years ago I converted a trials bike, it's somewhere in the projects section, anyway I sold it on as I wasn't using it and the new owner is looking for a motor controller now. Max voltage of 83V and 200a peak, 110a continuous was the claim on the controller. It's a 20s battery. 353110169_108051806624...

Re: Gen 3 Prius Inverter Features Simple Walk Around

The buck boost absolutely needs to be bypassed, you'll blow stuff up if you don't at higher speeds. Your HV needs connecting directly to the DC bus. If using a replacement logic board, for the gen 3 a dead time is absolutely required also.

Re: Mitsubishi outlander charger and DC:DC

The board uses an NCV8401, designed for the job, 12V goes to one side of the contactor coil and the other to the VCU. I see it's written in Arduino framework, I think they restart when serial is connected, but this shouldn't be much of an issue, if the DC bus has been pre-charged and it restarts the...

Re: Mitsubishi outlander charger and DC:DC

I'd consider binning off the timer relays, just use the VCU directly to do the pre-charge sequence. Timed pre-charge isn't the best method, if precharge fails, blown resistor for example, then boom, it'll just switch on the main contactor regardless

Re: Mitsubishi outlander charger and DC:DC

Your 0x285 message looks funky as too, but it seems to work. Wiki suggests the 3rd byte should be 0xB6 to pull the EVSE into the correct state. Yours is 0xAA. Not sure if this is a full log, but some public EVSEs wont work if you skips state B and jump straight to C. The Pod Points at Tesco for exam...
