Re: [DRIVING] VW Beetle 2003

With this wheel down on the ground and the other spinning doesn't have the fault. It did have the fault with both wheels jacked up.

Re: [DRIVING] VW Beetle 2003

Something must be up with the ABS/ESP as it was doing it on the road. I guess that driving home is while it was doing it was why the bolts broke

Re: [DRIVING] VW Beetle 2003

Well, I went back to the breakers and got the whole hub assemble.
Issue remained:

crasbe on discord said "try unplugging the ABS sensor"

And now I can drive again, without ABS/ESP.

Re: Registering and changing tax class of an EV conversion in the UK

Feltham are asking for DVLA feedback, seems to be saying they're having issues with even pre 2001 now. Fill in if you can. Re: [DRIVING] VW Beetle 2003

So new drive shaft didn't fix it. No issue in neutral, no issue with drivers side in the air and passenger side on ground. No issue when the passenger side shaft disconnected. All I've got left is wheel bearings or brake related?

Re: [DRIVING] VW Beetle 2003

With the wheel hub side out, the clunk doesn't happen so either I've got a bent shat or the outer CV is buggered.

You'd be hard pressed to find anyone at the DVLA that has a clue about anything.

Re: [DRIVING] VW Beetle 2003

A couple motor mounting bolts have snapped. Theory is, I'd not use thread lock and they've loosened and then the final impact snapped them. So motor is twisting entire engine/gearbox etc. It explains why slow turning by hand, or coasting was ok. It was immediately obvious when I had a helper to obse...

Front mounts now taking the weight of the transmission. Couldn't resist throwing the inverter in and a battery module. Need to still to beef up the mounts and paint before I can call them done.

Re: Develop a QCA7000 board?

Also I thought about where generell CCS Explanations, Overview of projects, hardware, etc. fit. I think it makes sense to remove generell explanations how the CCS Standard works from pages like I3 LIM or Clara. This reduces the pages to the relevant information. So I created a third page named &quo...
