Re: I bought a Honda CR-V iBooster Gen 1 - Now what?
so after eyeballing the old Honda CRV master cylinder some more I learned it actually houses not one but two pistons in series formation one behind the other here is the front piston, it appears to be hollow IMG_0733.JPG IMG_0735.JPG and here's the second one lurking behind it IMG_0737.JPG and here ...

Re: 1971 GMCe Lexus GS450H BMW 530e Tesla Model S powered Electruck [FINISHED]
To test the hypothesis that the master is too small, how about temporarily closing off the line to one of the rear drums as a test? This would halve the fluid displacement to the rear yes sir I did just that, and mention it in the video, even went as far as capping them both, here are some pics IMG...

OK that doesn't sound normal, have you tried bleeding with the power on? (Is it even possible???) might be worth hitting the CRV forums and asking there (don't tell them where the cylinder is or their heads will explode) EV8's suggestion is a possibility too - it sounds like the sort of behavior I'...

Re: 1971 GMCe Lexus GS450H BMW 530e Tesla Model S powered Electruck [FINISHED]
When you say "fully depressed" is that with the pedal on the floor when bleeding or when it's bleed and you push as hard as you can? we did the bleeding with no electricity going to the iBooster and the pedal operated normally as far as the bleeding goes, then we wired it up and supplied ...

well a bit of bad news, after replacing the 2018 Honda CR-V bad brake booster with a good one, and rebleeding the brakes the pedal still pulsates when fully depressed, so if any of youz have any ideas or suggestions on what to try I am all ears

Re: 1971 GMCe Lexus GS450H BMW 530e Tesla Model S powered Electruck [FINISHED]
now the fun continues as the 3/4" hose from the Tezla water pump has to now mate with the 5/8" Lexus inverter inlet, joy IMG_0656.JPG well at least the Lexus inverter 5/8" outlet matches the Lexus transmission 5/8" outlet so they got daisy chained fairly easily, which then only l...

Re: 1971 GMCe Lexus GS450H BMW 530e Tesla Model S powered Electruck [FINISHED]
so now we have reached the plumbing, heater hose size, coupler, adapter, reducer hell portion of the build, you see we in America like to design our radiators with the largest inlets and outlets known to men and women, and the electrical components (inverters, dc-dc converters, chargers, water pumpu...

so we got updates and we got questions, first yes I am working on a bit of this (brakes) and a bit of that (cooling / radiator) it's just how these projects go as you hit a wall on something and or are waiting on parts, or FRIENDS to show up and help you bleed the brakes so I decided to replace that...

Re: Cooling ideas?
I'm using a GS450h transmission and inverter, with Chevy Volt batteries, eventually hoping to run 3 sets I plan on using the original ICE radiator with built in transmission cooler (86 Chevy El Camino) for the transmission oil I don't know what the correct coolant flow path would be between the var...

so while we wait for a sucker I mean a friend to come over to help me bleed the brakes for the upteenth and hopefully final time, The Greg decided to keep busy and plumb the Lexus GS450h transmission fluid lines to the 1971 Chevy stock radiator (as it has provisions for an automagical transmission c...

meanwhile on this Two Steps Forward One Step Back update, we afixed the new used Honda CR-V master cylinder to the BOSCH iBooster and attempted to bench bleed it on the truck IMG_0563.JPG IMG_0565.JPG so here's the general idea and you is supposed to do this in a vice, with American style master cyl...
