Re: 2012 Camry Inverter AVV50R

Awesome work Zechy :):):), I will use your Camry version for my inverter in my E39 :). Also many thanks for going over this data. Makes me think it was a worthwhile endeavor.

Re: Reducing noise of electric vehicle inverter?

Years and years spent in close proximity of heavy machinnery will do that :). For me it was turbine propeller aircraft. The thing is you dont notice it until you put on really good protective earphones that cancel out any external sound. World is full of noise. Very interesting arber333, interestin...

Very interesting Johu: Got tinnitus, too. Doctor just said "oh another software guy" [/quote] Well I thought I would measure the electric field with my Trifield meter in front of a node Ethernet phone connected to the WiFi box for a friend. I thought I would measure just a couple of volts ...

Re: Reducing noise of electric vehicle inverter?

I have seen measurements of electric fields emanating from charge cables. Pretty bad, err very bad. When I last parked at a EV charging station my FM radio played up that's how bad the electrical interference was. I suspect these charging cables are not shielded. I have a trifield EM meter which I h...

Re: Knocking noise in camry hybrid transaxle

I do have spare gears for the transaxle, but not the planetary gear for MG2. If you want them you can have them, but you would have to work out how to get them to yourself.

Kind regards,

Re: 2012 Camry Inverter AVV50R

Awesome Zechy, I will give you the HTM data too then. Its all a work in progress, please feel free to send questions. I still have the oscilloscope hooked up to the taxi on the front lawn, so can run special tests if that helps. Please note, the oscilloscope creates 32 sets of waveforms, which inclu...

Have you or are you going to create the Zeva current sensors?

I have bought the Zeva system for my car to install once I get to that stage, so I am very glad you have created these items :)

Re: Project demystification - make openinverter.org more accessible

Panasonic AEV14012 Contactor i saw this heading in the Wiki: "This means they had to use one of theese on + line and another on - side. Together you get 240A rating for system with 800A for a burst of power." This sentence looks like a Panasonic contactor is required on the +ve side, and a...

Re: Current control of induction motors

Do you need to add phase angle of current only during regeneration, i.e. stage 1 stage 2 type controller?

Are you making the calculations as fast and accurate as possible?

Re: Wound rotor motors.

Yes makes complete sense, use what you have got (If it works don't fix it). Anyway, these 'old' things were made by tradesmen who were taught properly, perhaps the insulation used was better than what the books said to use... . So it is wonderful your Harrison L5 is humming along :) Yes well that is...

I did look for other MTPV papers, but most are not readily available, the reader has to ask for the paper.

Re: Wound rotor motors.

Thank you SciroccoEV. Good photo of the rings :). One set of problems that can happen with induction motors is unwanted current flowing through the bearings causing havoc to the hard coating on the ball bearings, to solve that, if this problem can occur they insulate bearings at both ends of the mot...

Re: Wound rotor motors.

Well that is very interesting arber333. I have seen a few papers on 5 phase motors for sometime. Not only is the inverter more complicated, but fault finding will be too. For a 3 phase motor that we are used to, faults can be catalogued into any combination of: positive, negative and zero sequence f...
